Hi guys

I'm fairly new to this overhaul modification for the GTA V.

After installing Redux, I seem to experience in-game ped/police AI erratic behavior. I know this may not be an issue of LSPDFR but this thread may just serve as a heads-up for other Redux users too!

1. Peds 60% of the time will steal vehicles. This includes police vehicles I drove and parked aside.

2. Police AI now open fire at random all over the place like as if there are major riots/chaos all over the map.

3. Because of point no.1, Police AI also open fire at them.

4. Right now both peds and police AI went nuts, literally crimes everywhere I go.

My point is, I had played a couple of hours of LSPDFR without Redux and I was able to get a hang of its mechanics or the way how it works but after installing Redux, I can feel and look for myself that it is very different. It sort of destroys my fun for LSPDFR.

Anyone else is facing problems like this?

I am currently in the process of extracting the OIV for redux to see what files had been changed and they seem to have 1 or 2 "behavior" files for peds.

For those having the same issues as I am, I will update this thread on how to get around Redux's behavior settings while at the same time, retaining the 4k textures and whatnot.

I have just installed redux and LSPDFR for the first time, sadly I can't get them to run together. However it has just dawned on me that the files I coped to the mod folder were of an old version (game didn't seem to auto update the last time I played it) so will try that and let you know :)

Since Redux seems to be such and expansive mod, I'm sure there are some files that will clash as a result with scripts such as LSPDFR. That being said I wonder if anyone has this issue and knows what files need to be removed in order for them to work in conjunction.

Just got it working it was indeed the files I copied that were wrong, will see if I run into any issues.

I have installed redux automatically and picked the files off manually but results in a crash. Also, I have tried the other way round which is to install manually by placing the files one by one but also result in a crash.

These are the files which messes with LSPDFR If I am not wrong. Perhaps someone here could work wonders.

I would recommend not using mods like GTA V Redux with LSPDFR. There are plenty of graphical overhaul and enhancement mods that exist if all you want is a prettier looking game and environment. I myself use NaturalVision, for example.

The problem with Redux is, as you've correctly identified, it alters more than just graphics. It alters handling, police spawning, AI, ped spawning, vehicle health and damage, weapon damage etc etc. If you take a look through the features it even states the following:

• 100% re-configured population levels, with options to customize to your liking.
• More and varying police now spawn on the streets and hunt down criminals! Watch out!
• Now see up to 8 police cars with helicopters chasing down ai criminals in the city!
• Random events and crime happen much more frequently.
• Highly increased scenario pedestrians to add more life to the city! (drinking, eating, walking dogs, jogging, hiking, general activity, etc).
• All pedestrians react much different, with much larger variation. Depending on the individual you approach, reactions will different.
• Ai handles car crashes, popped tires, violence, destruction and death, while behind the wheel, different. Enjoy the Shocking reactons!

All of these file changes above were designed with base game GTA in mind. They were not designed with overhaul mods like LSPDFR. This is why when you play with Redux and LSPDFR together you get chaos and the standard LSPDFR features being ripped apart by the data file mods.

 

 

If you can't replace the redux files with the game original files without it crashing you're probably somewhat out of luck. MY only advice here would be to use a mods folder, install Redux there and then spend a painful amount of time deleting 1 or more files at a time from the mods folder to see if the game correctly overrides them with the standard ones.

I am please to update users of Redux that it is now possible to use Redux with LSPDFR.

I have removed the files involving Police and Ped A.I behaviors as well as their spawn rates!

Thanks to @LukeD for his mention of the spawn rate, random events etc.

I still trying to make my game work with both mods and i didnt have any result yet

What I've done is a clean re-installation of GTA V to flush out all my errors made to prevent anymore issues on my next try so it is best recommended to do that. 
After that, install Redux manually. You could possibly use automatic installation and pick the files out one by one but I did the longer way.

LSPDFR without Redux = Works

Redux without LSPDFR = Works

Both Together = Didnt work.

Did you install Redux to "Game Folder"?

Right, try getting a vanilla "gameconfig.xml" and overwrite Redux's gameconfig and see if it works. I used to had this problem whenever it concerns gameconfig.xml. It always crashes my game somehow.
