My Home Network is being very slow!

Featured Replies

My connection is slow as a grandma's orgasm all of a sudden and it makes me want to jump off a penguin.

Anybody got suggestions on how I could fix this?

Thanks.

Being cynical. So I suppose that would entail a little bit of both.

Okay, now the real answer to the question.

Hello there. Now I shall help you get your computer faster along with your internet connection. The reason why your connection is slow might be because your computer has tons of unused stuff. For example programs or files you don't use.

1st Step

You should delete/uninstall every file and program you don't need, don't use frequently. For files, just delete them and for programs Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. Empty your Recycle Bin, too.

2nd Step

Defragment your discs. My Computer > Click on Disc Properties > Disc Defragmentation.

3rd Step

Update your drivers. Read this in-depth guide ( http://pcsupport.abo...atedriverxp.htm )

4th Step

Use CCleaner by Pinform. Download here: http://www.piriform.com/CCLEANER

5th Step

Have fun. .

only if the computer is slow, it loads slow, if everything runs fine, then it's not he computer, sometimes you just need to reboot the fecking thing

You can try restarting the Router via the Web Panel, or Hard Reset it with a Pin to a Tiny Button on the router. Restarting the router usually works, but if not, you should contact your ISP and tell them the issue.
