Good Enough for GTA V with LSPDFR?

Recommended Posts

Hey! :)
First off, im definelty not an Computer Expert. The Following PC is a Premade PC (dont hate, its my decision because i dont wonna build one up lol) and it includes an Screen, Gaming Mouse and Gaming Keyboard. It cost 700 Euro ( 771 $ ). Also im definetly not rich and this is the price limit and the best i can have. The company says on amazon that it runs GTA 5 with Ultra Settings on 80 FPS. So i wanted to hear from you guys if it is true and if it would run like that with LSPDFR (if it wouldnt run smooth on Ultra with those Specs, i could also live with High or Medium Settings. I care about FPS and not about Graphics, but the Graphics still shall be decent ^^) . Here are the Specs:

Spoiler
Screen Resolution 1920x1080
Processor Brand AMD
Processor Type Phenom Quad-Core
Processor Speed 4.10 GHz
Processor Count 1
RAM 8 GB
  DDR3 SDRAM

Graphics Card NVIDIA Geforce GTX 960 4096 MB DDR5, DirectX® 12, VGA, DVI, HDMI
GHz 4096 MB
Interface Graphicscard PCI-E
  DVD/CD
  PC
  Windows 10

Thanks in Advance :)

To start, the 1080p display is great for gaming (although if it has a 60Hz refresh rate, you won't be able to see the 80FPS in GTA V that was advertised). The processor's 4 cores and 4.10GHz speed is pretty good, despite my preference for Intel processors. 8GB of RAM is fine (1600MHz speed?), but you may want to upgrade to 16GB at some point, if possible, if you begin to experience stuttering in GTA V due to its memory leak problem. The GTX 960 is perfect for entry-level gaming in GTA V, and its 4GB of VRAM should allow you to turn most of the settings up to the maximum.

Do you also know the size and type of its storage drive(s)?

You can compare this computer to my build, which delivers 60 FPS with LSPDFR on high to very high (equivalent to ultra) graphics settings:

Spoiler

Screen Resolution: 1600x900

Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz

Memory: G.SKILL Ares Series 8GB DDR3 SDRAM 1600MHz

Graphics Card: ASUS STRIX NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 2GB

Operating System: Windows 10

Hi! :)

first off, thanks very much for your reply, it really helps me!

I think i wont be able to upgrade to 16 GB RAM, sadly. Is it really that bad or would it also run on the 8 GB? And also, my laptop im currently using has 4 GB RAM, maybe i could try to get them out and connect them to the 8 GB so i have 12, but since im a Noob in PC Tech Stuff, i propably cant do it lol. Also, im from Germany and my english is pretty bad so i couldnt translate all the features because i dont know the words for it, google translator didnt help me :( I will post it in German now so maybe you can figure it out by the numbers:

Just wanted to give my 2 cents.  You might get 80FPS on Ultra settings if you play at 800x600 resolution.  If you play at 1080p, you will definitely not get the advertised FPS.  Check out my specs in the signature below.  I have a better processor, more and faster ram, and probably slightly better version of that same graphics card (mine is FTW version which is overclocked from factory).

I get 60FPS playing at 1080p on high to very high settings.  Your results will probably be a little worse.

BTW, AMD Processors are bottleneck kings.
I have a gigabyte GTX 960 and a i5-4460 nearly bottlenecks it in GTA V, which basically means your FX 6300 is boned in terms of bottlenecks.
Clock Speeds & Core Counts don't mean everything, it's the architecture of it that can count.

There's absolutely zero way you'll be able to run GTA 5 maxed out at 80 FPS.  My setup is better and even I don't get that.

I have an I7 6700K and a 970. At high settings with realistic radiance and traffic variety I get about 55! There is NO WAY to get 80.

It will play the game, probably near maxed out @ 1080p around 60 fps, maybe if you're lucky. You should do what I did when I built my PC - check eBay for used processor and motherboard, and ram combos. I got an intel i5 4670 with an asus motherboard and 16gb corsair vengance ram for $215 shipped to my door. I also picked up an R9 390 open box for $250 and my rig plays GTA V maxed out at 1080p over 60fps.
