Issues With New GTAV Title Update

Featured Replies

Is anyone else having issues with the new GTAV Title update? Rockstar Must've changed something but I can't figure out what it is. Every time that I launch my game it crashes UNLESS I remove the mod folder. In which case it works fine. I reverted to an old save to make sure that there wasn't a mod causing it but when I switched to the older version it worked perfectly!

If there are files in your mods folder you will need to delete those and reapply your mods. The files inside the mods folder are based on old game files so will conflict with the update.

Damn. That's a shame. So I have to reinstall EVERYTHING?

Anything that was in the mods folder, yes. Plugins are not affected as they don't overwrite game files.

The mods folder is only great for easily switching between modded and unmodded game files. IF you have an update you need to copy the new game files into the mods folder and reapply your mods just like normal.

FYI this has always been the case with the mods folder.
