Help, LSPDFR stuttering after 20 minutes

Featured Replies

After I play the LSPDFR mod for about 20-30 minutes it starts to stutter REALLY bad, to the point where I cant even play the game.  I can't figure out why it does this and one idea I had was maybe the callout scripts pile up for some reason.  Its not a gradual thing, its just all the sudden I flip my sirens on, move 10 ft. then start stuttering like crazy.  If anyone else experiences this problem could you give a fix?  If nobody else does experience this could you explain where I can remove callouts completley because I dont even respond to the callouts, I just do traffic stops mainly.

Other mods I'm using are Arrest Manager, spotlight, SpeedRadar, trainerv, and Vehicle Search.  But none of these mods seem to cause any of the lag.

hey warhawk I am having the same issue I have been pulling my hair out tying to fix it I don't know whats causing the game to slow down after 20 30 minuts. does your game/lspdfr get to the point where you cant even play it anymore?

I was having this issue myself, and while this may sound like a smartass response, I seriously encourage you to make sure there are NO non-essential programs running in the background. For example, some people have Origin. If you have the steam version of GTA 5, close out Origin while trying to run the game. Also, check your startup applications and literally turn them ALL off.

I contacted Rockstar support because of stuttering in the game and this fixed it, permanently, for me. Let me see if I can find the ticket.

That's not a ton of information. Use your DirectX Diagnostic file.

many people have complained of this since the last GTA patch, even without playing with any mods just the game itself. I haven't had too much of an issue, but sometimes the game does start to dip in frames after a long session. If it is indeed rockstar's latest patch causing some issues the only option is for them to fix it.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if it is rockstars problem I have tried buying ram, trying to install different security oh wow If it is that would be good for everyone else but disaster for me thanks for the news simulator4515 only thing left is to maybe try and wait this out and see if this is rockstars problem

If I play the game without mods its perfectly fine, I even tested it getting 5 stars with 20 cops chasing me at night driving through the city for a good hour and kept stable fps. But when I play lspdfr its just one second its fine, the next its stuttering so badly that I cant even play, literally it takes 2 minutes to get down a street because of the lag.  My PC had a problem that windows 10 was causing that made my RAM stay at 98% and caused my computer to run extremely slow.  I fixed this and reinstalled GTA V and the LSPDFR mod so now im going to try this all out and see if it works.

Ok so that seems to fix the problem for me.  If your using a high amount of RAM go to task manager - Performance - Memory and look where it says Non-paged Pool, if this is over 400MB then try pressing windows key + R, then type in regedit then navigate to the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management , then go to the right and find ClearPageFileAtShutdown and change the value to 1.  Then go to regedit again and navigat to  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Ndu and change the start value to 4 then reboot your pc.  Thats only if your having the "high ram" problem that I was having.  Then if you've been installing and removing mods from GTA V you should also reinstall it completly.  I just did all of the above then tested it out so either one, two, or all, of those helped fix the problem.  Please reply if it worked for you because I couldn't find anything about this specific GTA V problem and it could help others out.

Also just to be clear, you should check to make sure you don't just have other programs running in the background like the above post said.  Personally I'm pretty familiar with my pc so that was the first thing I did but there's no shame in forgetting to check the simple fixes first.

@tony You're not proving the greatest of information. What GPU do you have? Also, I have heard that changing your game to 'Windowed Borderless' in the settings can help with FPS. Also, don't be a afraid to bump your graphics settings down a little, it's unlikely you'll notice a big difference.

I'm wondering if it's something Rockstar has done this patch. I too have been having pretty bad stuttering after a few minutes of playing. After a few googles, and a few minutes of reading various forums it appears quite a few people are having this issue or extremely similar both on modded/unmodded games. It's not just people with poor specs either. I have a fairly decent system and have been only having issues with this most recent patch.

Veni vidi vici

I must say this is annoying me as well because I have a low spec PC and I before got 25 FPS in the city and now I'm getting 6 and I've had to do everything anyway from the city.
Really hope this gets fixed soon!

Also getting the stuttering after 30 minutes. I was recording gameplay yesterday and noticed it was severe on the playback, not nearly as bad in game.

Hello guys!

With lspdfr i have the same problem...when you click F4 for the console...then write reloadallplugins, this should be ok for another 20-30 mins...
