Traffic issue.

Featured Replies

Hi.

When i start GTA4 the traffic only spawns taxi, policecars and 1 type of civilian car.

How and what do you do to get normal traffic?

i have modded cars and ELS V6 installed.

LCPDFR works fine for now. Havent tested it properly because of the traffic issue. (Pissed me of to much)

Before anyone says that LCPDFR and ELS dont work together. IT DOES. Search on youtube for: Briglair

I just really want it to work.

and btw. I pretty much suck around computers so you have to explain in a way i understand.

ELS increases the chance of game crashes (not sure on the exact sources), and since FR spawns more cop cars, the chance of crashes can be even higher. That's the real issue with the two used together.

As for the traffic issue, it is a well documented (but so far not completely solved) side effect of using high-detail vehicle replacements. GTA 4 only has so much memory it can use due to the way it was programmed, thus it spawns the required taxi/police/player-driven vehicle sets when it hits the limit.

Like the Loot said, GTA IV basiclly runs out of memory and spawns a vehicle that is basiclly the lowest detailed vehicle and that happens to be the taxi...Use Traffic Flow, that should help you.

usually I find it fixes itself when you leave to a different area of the map.

not exactly on my part. yes it changes vehicle but thats it. still just one civilianvehicle.

Please do not double post, instead edit your previous one and add any more information.

There are no commands to type in. You just place the file in your scripts folder and that's it! no more taxi bug (usually)
