Hey, is there a download link for 2.0 anywhere?

Version 2.0 is the current public release which can be downloaded from the page linked in the post you quoted. If you aren't a registered beta tester you'll only see the current public release, which is 2.0.

Quick update: still working on this mod, it's gradually coming together. Most recently have been working on the AI to coordinate keeping track of all the injured peds and the responders treating them.

That's what I thought at first, but when I click download I just get an error, saying I'm not authorized to download it.

I can download other files from LCPDFR.com though.

It seems to work now.

Download works fine for me. You're just clicking the download link on the right side, the big blue button that says "Download" right?

Any chance that, in the future, Better EMS will choose which vehicle set based on the number of patients?

I have a fire vehicle set that has 6 fire fighters, another one with 4, and another with 2... but it doesn't make much sense to send 6 firefighters to 3 patients nor does it make sense to send 2 firefighters to 10 patients...

thats an awesome idea

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE MODS..THEY'RE CALLED READMEs   AKA read me for a reason

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

Perhaps at some point in the future I may add something like this. Thank you for the suggestion.

I think what may possibly make more sense, is dispatching more than one ambulance if Multiple patients. You can send as many medics in as few units as possible but if your going for any sort of realism one ambulance can transport two patients at most. And that's if its Minor injuries. Any sort of major trauma and technically they are gonna send one ambulance for each patient.

@PNWParksFan I was a Fire/EMS dispatcher for 8 years, It wasn't in California, but if the need would ever arise and some of that experience could be helpful, id be happy to lend a hand.

I would also love to see this mod expand somehow for just Fire only related responses. I am honestly not sure how that would work yet. But it would definitely be an added bonus to an already awesome Mod!

I understand that shoving an infinite number of patients into the back of an ambulance is unrealistic. There's a limit to what can be done realistically in the game though, imagine 10 ambulances all trying to drive to the same position, running into each other, etc. I may someday add an optional feature to have more ambulances show up for transport, but at this time it's not a high priority.

As for fire response, I have done some testing with that, and will probably add that eventually, but don't have any plans to implement it in the near future as I have other projects that I'm focusing on first.

I totally understand, I hope it didn't come across overly critical because that wasn't my intention at all.  And I do agree, having 10 ambulances show up to one call would be an absiolute Disaster LOL!.  No matter what does or does not get added in the future, this mod will ALWAYS be a part of my game.

I played around with EMSUnits.xml today and I wondered if it is possible to decide which livery the responding vehicle uses. Is such a feature implemented?

Yes. Just add livery="1" (or whatever number you want) to any <Vehicle> entry.

Hey, I think it would make more sense if it said "Cardiac Arrest" instead of "Falling" for when it can't figure out what caused the death. Cardiac arrest would be more spontaneous than falling.

"Falling" is actually the reason returned by GTA, but it seems to also be the default when it's not sure the cause. I suppose replacing that with "cardiac arrest" or even "unknown" would be reasonable.

@PNWParksFan Hi, I wonder if the betterems xml file can handle liveries? I can use liveries in custom backup but is the syntax the same as in custom backup?

Yes. Adding Livery="#" will work just the same as in Custom Backup

Everything you can do in Custom Backup in terms of vehicle and ped customization is possible in better ems as well. same syntax for the <Vehicle> and <Ped> entries, except no <Weapons>.

is there a way to add a randomized livery?

You'd have to add multiple Vehicle entries and put a different livery for each. Or, specify no livery, and it'll spawn like normal - with a random livery.
