Would anyone be interested in me releasing a FDNY/NYPD siren file? I'm trying to find decent recordings of the rumbler, so that will be included as either the air horn or the priority.

I'm having some trouble getting sirens out from noisy backrounds, but I'll do this...

The NYPD uses the Federal Signal SS2000 SmartSiren, there are quite a few on the internet. We also have one with Rumbler on the site.

I tried EVI's, and the quality of it makes me want to cry...

Yeah, there aren't many well looped ones due to Whelen's damn sound files...

When I was using all NYPD cars, I was using this siren:

It doesn't have a rumbler, but it's really good nonetheless.

As for a Rumbler siren, I used this one:

It WOULD be nice if Whelen could make better sound files with a Rumbler...I could try to make it...

I took the rumbler from EVI and put it in with other NYPD files I found, cleaned up the audio and it works amazing

Could you maybe upload it please?

YAY! He's reading the topic!

I just installed Real Liberty (traffic mod thing), and it's so fucking awesome. I have TONS of NYPD cars all over the place, and all you hear is wails and rumblers, just like real NYC. When I get my new video card I might try for the winter mod and WTC again.
