Hi !

Recently, I'm having a problem with the lightbar of my car...  my lightbar is acting very weird as seen in this video: https://youtu.be/HLhuzL24y5I This occurs regardless of where it's installed, I tried patchday3 as I usually do, patchday4, and x64e, all the same

it happened to me once the way to fix this is to install GTA V again do you have backup ?.

Someone told me the solution ! I changed some numbers in my carvariations.meta file. Work great again ! Thanks anyway :p

what numbers did you change? I am having a similar issue, I know I need to edit the carvariations.meta but I'm not sure what I need to change

"Sorry that I never made an edit to that regarding the solution. 

I had to add an entry in the carvariations.meta located in mpluxe2 for police (As you can't access the game's existing carvariations entries), specifically the following:

The important part here is the lightSettings and sirenSettings values, these values are made for specific types of lightbars in the game, for example:

<sirenSettings value="1" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Buffalo, Police Riot, Park Ranger SUV and Sheriff Granger.
<sirenSettings value="2" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Interceptor.
<sirenSettings value="4" /> = This siren lights is used by Ambulance. 
<sirenSettings value="5" /> = This siren lights is used by NYSP Police Roadcruiser, NYSP Police Rancher and LSPD Police Transporter.
<sirenSettings value="6" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Bike
<sirenSettings value="7" /> = This siren lights is used by Fire Truck
<sirenSettings value="9" /> = This siren lights is used by Tow Truck and one of Boxville models.
<sirenSettings value="10" /> = This siren lights is used by Lifeguard SUV.
<sirenSettings value="13" /> = This siren lights is used by Stanier Police Cruiser and Sheriff Cruiser.

Obviously replace police with another model name if you changed it yourself, but otherwise you can just copy paste that carvariations.meta entry into mpluxe2's and you should be good to go.

You explained what the sirenSettings value = to but can you explain the lightSettings?  Because i'm having an issue where i have window lights and only 3 out of the 4 clusters are flashing. There are two lights per cluster. I keep changing these numbers around but nothing.

 

Nevermind i understood what you said now. It's weird. The issue ive been running into has been different. For me.. I put four lights in my back windows and four in my front grill (Corvette) for some reason only two of the lights in the grill light up but the rest light up fine. This happens no matter what car, siren & light settings i use :\

For some reason my car shows <lightSettings value="1008"

could be <Item>156_jester2_modkit</Item>

 

try to change it to <Item>0_default_modkit</Item>

worked for me >>> SAME ISSUE!
