Does someone else also experience loss of fps ONLY when having the lspdfr mod loaded? When I unload it and have all the other mods in everything runs smooth, I have 2 980 gtx nvidia cards.

No not experiencing this at all.. Are your drivers up to date?

You have to keep in mind that LSPDFR makes hundreds of calls per second, where GPUs couldnt matter less. If you have a shit CPU, it'll slow right down. (Same applies to 6/8+ core CPUS, since they have less power per core and V only uses 4)

ok well that is good.. Can you list all the mods you have installed when the FPS drops?

Only when I use lspdfr fps drop, other mods don't interfere in any way. Already tried.

Starmix is probably right, my CPU is: Intel Core i7-3970X, should I upgrade? I'm not a pc expert.

Not upgrade, but like I said, 6 cores = less performance per core. So that would probably have a impact, as well as core density etc...

I don't think he was telling you to upgrade...What settings are you trying to run this on? the highest possible? Next time I go play, I will look at my FPS.. I don't pay much attention right now because everything runs very smooth. I am running on an I5-2500K ...

I think you're confused about how CPUs work. A game not using all 6 cores doesn't equal worse performance by having it, it means the extra cores are free to do other things.

Anyway, I have a 6 core Intel CPU and two 670GTX cards, and I'm not seeing any FPS drop from LSPDFR.

Yeah, I run on an I5-2500k and I know my graphics card is kinda in a hurt locker, but Kilyin you and I already discussed video cards.. and you were a big help on that and I plan to buy a new 1 this xmas.. Despite all of that LPSDFR and all the mods I am using run very smoothly with my current hardware.

Of course I don't how much FPS is dropping for LtRob

Seems odd to me as I can load and unload LSPDFR in the game and there is absolutely no difference in FPS. I've stuck with the 350.12 Nvidia driver though.. I used to update them all the time but now believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

What I meant was, the performance of EACH core is reduced so the thing doesn't throttle, so if V only uses 4 the other cores are idling (parked) and the 4 cores in use are being reduced by Intel

What about vehicle modifications? Could having a bunch of those cause performance issues? and if you ran GTAV without LSPDFR would you notice a difference? or would it still draw from the modded files.?

It can for sure, especially if you use a lot of high polygon models or models with badly optimized LODs. Those types of mods are independent of LSPDFR though, and will run with or without it unless you take the steps to disable or remove them.

I have the impala and crown vic and tahoe and ford explorer installed. Now I'm experiencing random crashes of lspdfr.

I think I'm gonna go to GTA IV and play lspdfr there lol, it's even more realistic there.

yeah, sorry LtRob I really wish I could tell you whats going on, but your rig is even better than mine and I'm not having FPS issues.. If I knew the answer, I would share it with you.

That's not true. The only time multi core CPUs are weak are when talking about AMD, and that's because each individual core is smaller and therefore less efficient. Intels do not have this problem. Cores that are not used are simply left to do nothing or handle other things.

LSPDFR is a script that runs from a .DLL file (dynamic link library). It uses no extra graphical power, and as a script, it only calls in functions that already exist in the game. I have occasionally seen stutters when a call out is being generated, but that's it.

Ah, I'm assuming that when only 4 cores are being used, it'll boost higher and the fact that I think i7 extremes are built from 14nm broadwell, which would help.
