A new species of human has been discovered! Called Homo naledi by scientists, this new species could be the missing piece searchers were looking for between the Australopithecus and the Homo Sapiens. Apparently, this species was burying their deads, a behavior that was so far only attributed to humans.

"We have just encountered another species that perhaps thought about its own mortality, and went to great risk and effort to dispose of its dead in a deep, remote, chamber right behind us."

"It absolutely questions what makes us human. And I don't think we know anymore what does."

Very interesting. I don't go much on the science side of life (except for Forensics of course), but this was interesting enough that i'll keep my eye on it/read up more on their discovery =)

Thanks for posting this.  I've taken a few anthropology courses in the past, and seeing that another link in the timeline seems to have been discovered is quite exciting.
