How do I fix this?

Featured Replies

When I start the game it says :

"Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll at 000116C5.

Cannot create file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV\asilog.txt". Access is denied."

I've read the stuff in the support section. Still don't get it. I've unchecked the read-only boxes on all the game files. I am running it as an administrator. I've also run it in compatibility mode. I have the .NET thing. and the C+++ thing.

What do I do?

Please use the search feature on the site before posting, this issue has been solved many times before.

Make sure your GTA directories are not readonly, especially the COMMON/DATA folder

Wow.. way to be helpful...

It doesn't let you post anything in the support section. Its a troubleshooter. A troubleshooter that DOESN'T WORK...

Did you even READ my post?

Correction: "A troubleshooter that does work, if you actually read what it says."

Did you even READ my post?

Not really, was in a rush.
