Don't bother trying because the game will crash out on you due to not having enough vram as you said you only have 735, if it manages to launch without giving you an error with your card it will be very choppy and eventually will crash when it can't get enough memory from your system.

In the future if you plan on getting a better rig then you can always try but better to not do so if you aren't thinking about that anytime soon.

Well I got the result from using systemrequirementslab.com so it may just be an estimate, not quite sure though. Is it a 100% no that I absolutely will not be able to play or will I possibly be able to slide by on the lowest settings?

Probably not, if you don't need portability, then get a desktop, you can get one for like £600 that'd run this game at 60fps.

Well is there anyone who can tell for sure? I don't think the laptop is too shabby, everything else in System Requirements checked out fine - except the Video Memory was around 730MB and the requirement was 1GB - so I am wondering if this is an estimation or if it's a definite no.

The V requirement is 1GB, I believe R* prevents V from installing or running if its not at the minimum requirements.

The answer is no, You don't have enough VRAM which is important with games, your laptop was never designed to play games at all so running GTA V is a definite no. if you want to play GTA V you'll have to buy a new computer (or build one)

And no, you can't upgrade a laptop.. there is limited things you can upgrade in a laptop and it's more hard than a desktop, to be honest only desktop computers have full customization.

alienware

I think you made a spelling mistake, it's shitware, not this Alienware thing.

If you want to get the best value, choose the parts yourself, then order it and get your local computer shop to build it.

Now about how much would it cost this person to purchase parts to be able to play GTA V on maximum settings, or next gen console settings on PC.

Cheaper than an Alienware laptop.. my desktop cost $2000 AUD (which in USD turns out to be $1200 roughly). and that runs GTA V on max setting, 60fps AND it looks 110% better than the PS4 version of GTA V.

That being said, i went overboard to future proof it.. and that was all online so if you go local you can essentially cut the pricing in half (or atleast save a few hundred).. plus Alienware is overkill.. you can find better brands of laptops with better specs for cheaper. Everyone i have seen never recommend anything Alienware.

See that's the thing. I'm a very mobile person so I wouldn't be able to have a full blown gaming setup. I'd need a gaming laptop that is capable of running GTA V with LSPDFR and mods. Alienware is the only brand I know of that has s simple purchasing system and makes everything a bit obvious. Is there any other brand you recommend I can buy from?

Sorry to jack the topic by the way, I'll stop now lol.

Anything that is made by gaming companies, like ASUS, Gigabyte, Razer, MSI (but they're expensive like Alienware). Just type gaming laptop into Google, click on the shopping section and browse around.

Normally i would hide posts for off-topic, but your comments haven't been off-topic because all the replies given to you can relate to the OP if he wants to buy a new laptop or desktop. So i'll let it slide =)
