[SUGGESTION] LSPDFR Criminals' Pursuit AI

Featured Replies

Firstly:

I have noticed that a lot of the time when I'm in a vehicle pursuit and the suspect's car is either stopped by the pursuing officers or crashes, the suspect leaves the vehicle and flees on foot, ignoring the many empty police cars and parked cars around them.
I think it would be awesome if instead of just fleeing on foot, some of the time the suspect(s) attempt to steal or hijack the cars around them, perhaps even splitting up, with one running on foot and the other attempting to steal a cruiser.

And secondly, these are just general improvements: Things like if a criminal has a gun and is in close range, they try to melee you with it; and if a suspect in a vehicle is going to flee from a traffic stop, they try to run the officer down. just small things would really add to the experience.

What do you guys think? How viable in terms of coding/gameplay etc. would this be?

Thanks!

What really needs to be changed is the suspects' ability to pass slow moving vehicles on the road that don't move over such as buses and other large trucks.

About foot pursuits, perhaps the suspects should try to hide (take cover behind walls), but yes, it would be a good idea if sometimes they would try to hijack other vehicles. Except my police car.

In my opinion, when there's a shitload of cruisers around the suspect's wrecked vehicle, he shouldn't try and flee, but rather give up right away and kneel so the officers can slowly approach and put him into cuffs.

yes, except the player car, I'm not quite sure why I didn't think about how annoying that could get.

It would all be down to the suspect personality and data files. it's all integrated with the police computer and whether they're armed or just an old lady etc.

but to both you guys, thanks for the quick commenting! I really didn't think this would be seen :laugh:

Yeah. Like, if it's a gang member it could be more likely that he takes off on foot or steals a new vehicle. However, the chance shouldn't be that high because I personally wouldn't try and take off with a bunch of guns pointed at me.

Click the plus sign next to "Quote" on the posts you wish to quote.

Nevermind that, I have to learn to read. If you press the "Quote" button twice, the post will show up twice in the editor. You can then strip each quote down to the pieces that you want.
