Installer Copyright Claim Help.

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I have recently created an automatic installer for my clan's GTAIV pack for ease of use for new members. But I was wondering if I would also be able to put the LCPDFR files into the installer aswell. Because it will become quite annoying that you first have to use the LCPDFR installer and then our custom installer. Is there anything that says it can be done with obviously having all credits in tact and kept within the installation.

I wouldn't see why not seeing as the installer will not be publicly available, it will only be accessed by member's of the clan that I am in.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Cheers,

Fice

Redistributing LCPDFR without permission is forbidden, as far as I know. I'd contact either Sam or LMS about this, just to be safe.

Like Stray said, You should contact Sam or LMS about this, Honestly to just be on the safe side i'd stick with just your things in an installer and leave LCPDFR with it's own installer.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me

Generally I deal with legal matters -- if it isn't publically accessable, there's nothing we can do about it.

That isn't an endorsement, just a matter of fact.

Technically putting LCPDFR in your installer or packing it yourself is forbidden in accordance with our license terms.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
