Racists clash after KKK and Black Panthers rally

Featured Replies

Yes this video is a few weeks old, I don't need you to point it out. Thanks for your consideration.

I was browsing YouTube videos of the whole South Carolina and Confederate flag deal, and I came across a very interesting video. The video depicts blacks arguing with whites on the struggles of being a black American and things along those lines. The blacks in this video claim that they face racism on a daily basis and that people of other races don't understand how hard it is to be black. The white's claim that they're the ones facing racism at the rally to begin with, yet no one seems to care. For those of you interested in this whole flag situation, I'm curious to get your thoughts on this video alone. Please note that this topic isn't about the legality of the flag, whether you think the flag is right, etc. This topic is primarily about what I've just described above.

I'd like to mention that I'm a black American, and as my profile demonstrates I'm proud of it. From my experience thus far, being black in America really isn't that hard. Sure there are always going to be racists on both sides of the coin, but I have yet to face any sort of unbearable racism or discrimination. I've actually faced more racism from other blacks, claiming that I act, speak, and dress like a white boy than I have from whites altogether. This allows me to conclude that being black in America really isn't that difficult, at least from my perspective. Just my two cents though, maybe I'm just lucky.

I'm glad, but just remember that that's your perspective. We're all confined to our own perspective.  There's a lot of discussion to be had about the struggles of being black in America, and I'm glad you haven't experienced them. But other people have, and that's what they're (literally) in the streets about.

But about the video, I'm curious, were they actually black panthers? I didn't get that from the video.

In my opinion it's all really just one giant cluster of confused people pissed about a flag, but it was a mixture of KKK and Black Panthers. I believe the Panthers went first, preaching black supremacy. Then the KKK is what's in this video, preaching the opposite.

They called in ALL the Troopers and BPS officers for that. That was like the scariest moment of my life. Me and some other deputy from another county got surrounded by a group of panthers and klan members and were straight shitting our pants. My hat got completely crushed.

Geez, were you in one of the videos?

Also I would like to say is sadly, people to this day will continue to protest about such minor things, next thing you know, there will be protests about the TPP or the legalization of cannabis.

Someone, at some point shoved a camera in my face and called me the grand wizard of the KKK. So maybe, I'm somewhere on Youtube.

That can be pretty dangerous....the Black Panther Party is pretty much an empty shell now-a-days, but white supremacists are still pretty damn dangerous to this day. Scary stuff.
