Dispatch File Questions

Featured Replies

I'm trying to add some stuff to my dispatch file (using the file from Yard1's LSSD SWAT w/ compatibility for CPRE 1.4 as a base), but I'm encountering some issues. I've attached the meta file below.

1) The base file adds highway patrol cops to the wanted level, and I modified them to use Netman's SAHP cars. However, the bikes assigned to them appear much more frequently during gameplay than the cars. Is there a reason for this? The line of code adding the bikes is not repeated, so theoretically it should have the same chance of appearing as the cars, shouldn't it?

2) I'm trying to get Olanov's detectives working, but I can't seem to make them work properly if they're used alongside another vehicle set. If I place them in wanted level 3, then they spawn just fine alongside the usual roadblocks and SWAT SUVs. But if I add another vehicle set to the wanted level, then only roadblocks and SWAT SUVs spawn, no pursuing cars. dispatch.meta

1. The bike only holds one officer, so they tend to spawn much more as officers die or despawn.

2. Yeah, sometimes the dispatch system gets screwed up and doesn't like to work. I've had plenty of times where I ended up redoing my whole file because something like that messed it up. It's never the same car or ped causing it either; I've had issues with fbi, police4, fbisec, and added marshal peds, but they work in some situations just fine.

I thought it might be because there's some kind of limit to the amount of vehicle sets that can be added, but level 4 has four vehicle sets in use, and they spawn correctly.

When adding a new vehicle set, do you have to include the army base and countryside zones too? Something I noticed when looking at the code already included in the file.

(Is there a way to edit posts, or you need to be at a certain post level?)

Also, does the spawn number have to be an even number? In the few different dispatch files I've looked at, it's always even, specifically for the "policeautomobile" section.

Just added park rangers to the dispatch, I noticed that the female rangers don't seem to have their AI set to act as cops, so they engage with other law enforcement, and tend to cower. How would I go about editing this? Would it require ymt editing?

Yep.

Yep.

Which file is it?

Also, is it normal for police boats to not spawn in the Alamo Sea? They seem to only spawn on land, though they do spawn over the Pacific Ocean.

Base game peds.meta, which is also in locked format on consoles.

I didn't really remember whether police boats spawned there in vanilla, but no mod can change whether they do or not.

AFAIK, police boats won't spawn on the lake or on the river. The ocean counts as "Countryside" though, so if, like me, you install an additional Coast Guard Predator, you can keep the LSPD boats near the city.
