I started to work on a new callout, Murder Investigation, it will be available in the next version, v0.6.

I tested it only woith the annhilator and it crashed, but it should need to just support rappelling and it will work. The options to change vet, heli paramedics and heli pilot models were added too.

Thanks for your suggestions

Woohoo! I'm excited!

I just created a Los Santos County Animal Control texture for the Emergency Utility model. I need to make some slight modifications and add a couple liveries, but it's mostly there. Check out the screenshots here: https://imgur.com/a/wEDKS

I will think about that callout, it's already really hard to find the person in the Missing person callout while you're on the ground so I don't know how hard it will be from a heli

If you can figure out a way (and I believe that you can if anyone can!) to use the thermal camera mode (like the GTA V story mode mission "Eye in the Sky"), it would actually make the missing person callout more exciting and easier in a way. Currently that callout is a bit frustrating because it can be so hard to find the person, although it's very rewarding when you do finally find them. In a real life situation like that, they'd use a heli with a thermal imaging camera, so that could be a really fun callout. You could determine which suitable heli landing zone is closest (Paleto Bay Sheriff Station, Sandy Shores airfield, Grapeseed airfield, or Fort Zancudo), have the player meet the helicopter there, then fly the heli to the search area, operate the thermal camera to find the missing person, then rappel down to them once they've found 'em.

I seem to recall you can enable the thermal camera vision mode from simple trainer, so there's probably some way to do it in a callout plugin. Maybe having a key to press while in the chopper to toggle the thermal camera, and another key to rappel, would work?

On a heli thermal camera would be sweet concept, repelling from a heli, another great idea.. I would have no arguments there. Other than that I personally enjoy the difficulty of searching for the missing person by foot, only because in reality. finding missing people usually isn't easy. Sometimes it can take days..

AlexG turns everything he touches into gold.. I can't wait to see what else he comes up with

In fact you have thermal and night vision using the binoculars, it can help you find the missing person.

Currently you can use it whenever you are in a heli. Once you enter in a heli a notification will appear saying: "Press ~some key~ to activate the helicopter cam". I haven't think of any callout to use it in, probably I will add what PNWParksFan said, make helicopters spawn in the police stations helipads for the missing person callout.

Could be useful for other callouts too... pretty much any of the callouts where you're searching for a person who's on foot I could see possibly using this feature. Super exciting, can't wait to use it!

Also could be used in maybe a drug smuggling callout where you track down a boat carrying drugs or a vehicle.. All kinds of neat stuff:thumbsup:

Here's the animal control truck. Hopefully I'll have the version with LED light textures available by the time the next wilderness callouts is released. Alex, feel free to use it in any screenshots for the next release!

Good stuff man, what mod are those police peds from? If they're default LSPDFR peds, I'm an idiot and never used them. :)

Just the built in ranger peds. Not all of the clothes and hats show up when you select the ranger in the LSPDFR on-duty screen, so I used simple trainer to change them. Under model spawning, clothes, and then I think I hit the left/right arrow keys and 5 on the numpad while "upper" was selected and when "hats" was selected until I got what I wanted.
