[RESOLVED] Graphics issues when creating/deleting Blips

Featured Replies

EDIT: Sigh...as it goes in IT...it was a user problem! /facepalm

(I had a bug in my code that triggered an infinite loop. Doh!)

EDIT: I have not had my morning caffeine yet, and I just realized this is more of a RAGE issue than an LSPDFR API issue. Nonetheless, if anyone has seen it, I would appreciate any help. In the meantime, I'll head over to the RAGE forums for this issue. /facepalm

If anyone has seen this issue, or if either Sam or LMS see this post, any help would be appreciated.

So on one of my callouts, the player has to respond to the initial scene, and then search the immediate area for the suspect. I place a translucent blip on the map, to indicate what the search area is. Same sort of blip as in my Traffic Control plugin.

When the suspect sees that he is being followed, the yellow "search area" blip goes away, and a red blip is supposed to appear on the suspect. But whenever I delete the first blip and then create the second one, the graphics on my screen go all screwy. I'll try to post a screenshot later, but basically, the radar increases to 1.5 to 2x it's size, and the game world itself goes all black. It only happens when I delete one blip, and then create another one at the same time. I even tried putting those statements in a new GameFiber, with a 1 second sleep statement between them, no dice.

Either blip works fine on it's own, but I can't seem to have both of them.

Any ideas?

Please do not PM me for any kind of technical support.
I unfortunately do not have enough free time to answer every PM that I get. For issues with my plugins, please post in the comments section of the file, or it's forum thread. You'll get a much quicker response from me there than if you send me a PM; I do my best to respond to every question in the comments sections. For API/programming questions, please post them in the API Development forum, so all developers can benefit from the answer as well. Thanks!
