now it says asilog cant be created

Yes, this means that the game is unable to write to the logs in your root directory. As stated above, make sure you are running as a admin. If you haven't done so already, ensure that your directories are not read only, especially the commondata folder.

ended up just playing GTA 4, not EFLC.

New q. How do I upload new cars n make em work in game? also, how do i install mods?

I have some in, did what is said, but nothing happened

Well to create new cars, you will need to learn how to model in 3D. There's some tutorials on the internet, but unless you want to invest quite a bit of time in it, I wouldn't bother. It's tedious to learn (at least for me). For installing mods, you will need a few tools like OpenIV or SparkIV, there are some videos about it here on the site and all over the internet.
