well I have yet to find a working directory for dBocks add on vehicles, the complete pack....  

put the files in mpchristmas2 and vehicles in patchday 3, result=full crash
put both files and vehicles in mpluxe2 , result=full crash
put both files and vehicles in mpchristmas2, result=full crash
put both files and vehicles, in mpchristmas2, and modified gameconfig with vehicle limit raised, result=full crash

I guess its inevitable that I am not meant to use added on vehicles... there goes my DLC idea... if I cant get this to work, why bother with the other.  :( :( :(

@JordanMikel  did you add the <flags>FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE</flags> to the vehicles meta?

lspdfr plugin or GTA V crashed? find your Rage log in your gta folder, usually found after ragepluginhook.exe and open it, hit Ctrl a, open pastebin.com, select new paste, hit Ctrl v, get the link after you pasted it and supply that with your issue in the specific mod topic, it helps the developer diagnose the problem you may have.

  • GTA IV's texturing used the exact same system. You could not make a police car black using the texture alone. That's because colors were in the carcols file. What you're mixing up is how *modded* cars

I fixed the siren issue on a vanilla vehicle. I used (Car add on dlc template pack for GTA V by Gforce) to do my testing. 
This gave me a vanilla vehicle that wasn't police enabled to do my testing. The f40 will spawn a vanilla vacca for copyright purposes.

I changed the f40 carvariation.meta siren setting to 13.
The file is located in Root:(mods) update->x64->dlcpacks->caraddon->dlc.rpf->common->data->carvariations.meta

There are varies of siren lights from several emergency vehicles that can be used,the wrong siren variable may glitch out the siren bar on desired added vehicle(s). 
Here are the working siren lights that you should use.

<sirenSettings value="1" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Buffalo, Police Riot, Park Ranger SUV and Sheriff Granger.
<sirenSettings value="2" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Interceptor.
<sirenSettings value="4" /> = This siren lights is used by Ambulance. 
<sirenSettings value="5" /> = This siren lights is used by NYSP Police Rancher and LSPD Police Transporter.
<sirenSettings value="6" /> = This siren lights is used by Police Bike
<sirenSettings value="7" /> = This siren lights is used by Fire Truck
<sirenSettings value="8" /> = This siren lights is used by NYSP Police Roadcruiser.
<sirenSettings value="9" /> = This siren lights is used by Tow Truck and one of Boxville models.
<sirenSettings value="10" /> = This siren lights is used by Lifeguard SUV.
<sirenSettings value="13" /> = This siren lights is used by Stanier Police Cruiser and Sheriff Cruiser.

I also messed with <flags>FLAG_LAW_ENFORCEMENT FLAG_EMERGENCY_SERVICE</flags> in the vehicles meta file, but it does not effect the siren sound. With the flags removed, I was unable to perform pullovers using LSPDFR. It will affect LSPDFR's ability to recognize it as an actual police vehicle. If enabled, it allows you to perform pull overs.
I also changed the handling and audio settings around. The siren version is controlled by siren settings value. The audio must be an emergency vehicle as well.  If I changed the audio back to civilian vehicle, I lost the siren audio and gained the car horn and radio. It appears they work as a pair. You must change both for it to work.

@Quakex64 I downloaded Bdocks newest update. Are you adding just the vehicles? You must add the edits to the existing .meta changes to the original carvariations.meta and vehicles.meta as well as the other files. You can't simply overwrite the originals, they will be incomplete.

Information on vehicle.meta emergency flags vs sounds

i have the "2014_DODGE_CHARGER_LSSD - V1.2L" and my previous "normal" Install worked. But I want replace the "OldPolicecar2". I do anything right i think, but the Siren light looks not normal. I turn it on, it flash up, and Sound is Ok, but My Problem is the rotating white light around the siren .. I think it is the carvariation.meta file

I think i must change the Sirensettings value to 1

I dont find the carvariation.meta File for the policecarold2

Hope anyone can help..

Policeold2 is the North Yankton Crusier. It's siren setting is: <sirenSettings value="5" />

If you are adding Bxbuggs charger(that is what "2014_DODGE_CHARGER_LSSD - V1.2L" showed up as), he replaces police2 (Police Buffalo).

It would be <sirenSettings value="1" />. The original file is .ymt and as far as I am aware, uneditable. You must use an add-on carvariation.meta and edit it to fit the application. You willl have to rename the model to policeold2 and add an edited car variations.meta file to Update.rpf->common->data.

@DoubleHelix  I was using both his vehicles and carvariations and installed them like he said.. vehicles in patchday3 and metas in mpchristmas2.. it crashes... I then found the policetoolbox vehicles, tried combining both metas together, tried in mpchristmas and mpluxe2 (where policetoolbox files go) and nothing seems to work right....

I hope your using just one .meta file, correct? metas in mpchristmas2. If not, that could be the conflict. My suggestion is to use openiv's mod folder if you are not already. If you are, then temporarily rename mods to _mods. It will keep everything intact, but not let openiv recognize it, thus keeping any prior mods left untouched. After you rename the mods folder, run the game for 5 min, just to see if you have corrupted original files. If all is well then create a new open iv mods folder: mods and just install the files necessary for Bdocks edits. I'm guessing it is a simple error that is being overlooked. This is how I solve things that elude me. Hopefully this can help.

Then i copy the textfiles at bxbuggs Charger´s original vehicles.meta "police2" and overwritten the policeold2 in

"Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf\common\data\levels\gta5\Vehicles.meta (see attachment)

Then I renamed the modelname, txd name ..ect.

 

But I dont find the variations.meta file in "Grand Theft Auto V\update\update.rpf\common\data"

Currently it's an encrypted file, and thus unreadable at the moment. You can add an entry to one of the DLC carvariations.meta and it will supersede the vanilla one. You can find those in mpchristmas2, mpheist, mpluxe, mpluxe2, etc. They should all contain common/data/carvariations.meta if the update included new vehicles.
Just add the new car variation setting as policeold2 after the last vanilla car in car variations.meta.

Glad it worked. I have the edited files I used to do this. I will attach them for others to analysis to get a better understanding.

@DoubleHelix I only used the original metas from dbocks complete update file along with the ones I found on the internet (trying to add them in) I guess there is some conflict with doing it that way.....then again it could be due to the fact that I have so many other car mods installed in various locations.... I will just use police edits from now on I guess :sad::sad::sad: :unsure:

I want to use @dbock1989 complete pack (I renamed pobison2 to sheriffbison since that is the livery on it), the coroner boxville, and the two vehicles from police toolbox..
but then I have so many others that I have found and want to use for some reason...

It could very well be crashing due to too many streaming resources. The game has a limit of how many peds and vehicles can be active at one time. The limit is raised every dlc update. You may try using Gameconfig.xml for 100+ Add-On Cars v678 to see if it alleviates the issue.There are several numbers that affect limits the game has in that file that need to change when adding new add-on vehicles and peds. If that is not the issue you are having, it very well may be a simple syntax or grammatical error that is being overlooked in combing .meta files. If that does't work, I would suggest making backups and just create a new openiv mods folder as I described earlier.

I have tried changing the size in the gameconfig but doing that dropped my fps from 60 to hovering around 18.. that could have been all the vehicles ive added as well, but now I am doing an entirely new mods folder, only going to be using lspdfr related items... the are but not limited to: vehicles, clothing, visual (Real Police Stations mod) amongst other various items...

Hey guys I could use some help, I have tried a few different tutorials but I can not get any added cars to work in my game.

I followed the instructions in this tutorial closely, but when I start the game it crashes due to an access violation. Running ragehook as admin does not help, and if I try ragehook with the game set to run as admin they lose connection with each other so the game loads without script mods. GTAV works with or without script mods so long as I dont load the edited mod file with the cars I am trying to add

Please help and thanks in advance.
