LCPD:FR Features

Featured Replies

Hi,

I just want to thank everyone who is working hard to create such a memorable experience for us LCPD:FR addicts!

I was wondering if the developers can somehow script a points system where you would be rewarded points for completing calls and lose points for failing to respond to complete them. I think it would add more incentive to the game.

Furthermore, a countdown clock would be nice where if it counts to zero before you have successfully completed the call, you would lose points for that call and the suspect would have escaped. I think it would be more realistic that way because in reality, the police don't have all day to respond to an emergency call and must get to the scene ASAP. If we can add a timer somehow to implement that, it would be great. The point system will be more complicated to script but I am sure that the countdown timer should be a bit easier for our experienced coders to implement.

Thank you for the great work and keep it up!!!

I'm not sure about that. In real life, there is no timer. The suspect may hang around, ducking into a bush, a building, even into plain sight in hopes he isn't stopped. Or maybe he will flee... Having a timer isn't realistic for investigation, I roll up to some calls and frisk the suspect and put him in the back of the cruiser. I check IDs of people in the area to simulate questioning witnesses, adding a timer would kill the investigation part, also, not every call is code 3, or even code 2. Making the timer even less realistic.

Liberty City, a place where the medics are more lethal than the murderers

i was just thinking that some of the callouts do have timers attached so that you must reach the scene in a certain time. for example, when responding to a suspicious vehicle you have so long before the bomb explodes. we used to also have a siggy you could use that actually showed how many arrests, citations, mess ups you had, etc but i dont know what happened to it :( in all honesty i used it for a while but when you run over so many people on accident its depressing to actually see a count :( haha.

Why exactly would you want a timer for calls? Some callouts I get are so far away by the time I got to them with a timer it would be expired. Especially if I am on a traffic stop, using ticket time. Bam, crashed my ticket time script, so now I HAVE to respond to this call fast because I am on a timer, NO THANKS lol. Plus sorry but cops cant always be at a call if they are on a call already. I have gotten calls when I am already working on a call as well. So again, I don't think that would be such a great idea honestly. Not to mention G17 has straight up said they aren't touching LCPDFR anymore since they are hard at work on LSPDFR for 5. So yeah don't think that's gonna happen ever honestly. Be happy with what you have bro

But if you have a timer on a suspicious vehicle because it has a bomb that explodes, The vehicle isn't suspicious anymore because of the timer it has explains why, I would pass on a call like that because that is what swat and the bomb squad is for, so it would be ignored by me including any states regarding it. If a timer is on a suspicious, and it is on the other side of town. I personal am not going to rush, crashing into everything over a suspicious vehicle call with a timer. There AI officer everywhere close by, they can handle it, the call will also be passed and stats ignored by me as a player.  Because what is nice about LCPDFR is it is role play-able. I personally play games the let role play possible, and I know if I do, I am sure there are also many as well. GTA didn't sell the game to me, GTA bores me, I have the old welcome to liberty city, Vice City and San Andreas. When San Andreas came out, I was done with GTA. Same story, went from stealing cars to all this other thug stuff I could carless about, I never finished Vice City and San Andreas. I wish there was a mod to just unlock the entire game so I can roll through in simulation. So Why do I have GTA IV? Because YOUTUBE vides of LCPDFR sold the game to me. I am sure I am not alone, and timers, well would ruin the environment feel to the hold experience. I know I would never pay any attention to timer calls and stats.. Game sit on the shelf first collecting dust like a couple of others I have, means nothing to me..
