Car Models for GTA 5?

Featured Replies

Ya it just came out... You cant already be wanting someone to make car models. It will require a bit more time to find out how all their vehicles work and etc. Leave it up to the pros, They will come some day. Its going to be a while.

You would need LSPDFR anyway 1st to make it even worthwhile

Dang, I didn't think it took that long to make a model or take it from another game and make it work in V.

It's not how long it takes to put a model into the game, it's how long it will take for the coders/script modders to write the tools for the game engine so that the vehicle modders can begin work.

I don't have a copy of the PC version or i would snoop around the files. As soon as modders like myself and Doppler can get our hands inside a directory and find out what files they use, the closer we get to modding. I have heard rumors that the models may be in .wft and .wtd again. MAYBE. That would be extremely useful as we would not need new export and import filters for zmodeler.

The biggest issue will be finding a program that can handle the file types for the cars, or waiting on Oleg to release the filters so that we can use Zmodeler. After we can import and export cars, modders just have to take the time to analyze how they're setup and then we're golden.

You can't even snoop the files yet. Everything is locked up inside RPF files. They dudes over at OpenIV are still trying to get into those :(

Looking at the GTA V directory so far it seems all the files are locked in RPF I dont know what that means but hopefully the modder will be able to crack it and maybe start modding!
