Unload unused/abandoned cars from memory?

I was driving around in Alderney, answering calls, doing all kind of more or less realistic stuff. But after about 20 minutes of playing (thanks to LCPDFR 1.1 making the game more stable :3) the sirens of abandoned cop cars began to annoy me a lot..

Most times I just teleport into the ocean and back into the city, using the console. However, this method is not reliable because sometimes it works, sometimes the game won't continue after trying to teleport back into the city.

It would make the experience much better and improve the realism if the cop cars would just despawn after some time or when I've reached a certain range. :/ I've read that you can change something in the ELS.ini and I did that. Unfortunately, it didn't help a lot.

 

So is there a way to let abandoned cars despawn?

Yea, that'd be nice.  What I do is if the cop car is occupied, I just spawn a barrier via PH while standing in front of the car, the car will disappear.  Also, you can request them towed off if unoccupied.

Not the fact that the cops leave their cars behind annoy me, but that the cars stay there forever and you hear their sirens even miles away. ^^

If you have Simple Native Trainer, under the Options menu, you can clear the area of objects, cars, peds, and police.

 

In what range will the area be cleared? Can I modify it? Sorry if there's an option for modifying it, I can't check it at the moment.

This is what you tried?

 

Els_Range_Ai = 50 (this is the lowest number)

 

"Sets the range (in meters) after which AI vehicles using ELS will be discarded."

 

Well. Yes, I tried lowering it. Somebody told me it helped. I don't want to turn it down too much because it'd be annoying to see the lights popping up when the AI cop is close only. So I only lowered it by about 300.

I thought the lights popping up was relative to your view/detail distance..

Unfortunately, cars will not despawn if their ELS is enabled. :/ So I have to get into every single Ambulance or cop car after a call or any other kind of crime scene.

 

I've tried driving far away from them to make them despawn. Well.. all my textures disappeared after that. :/
