New to PC gaming itself...

Would like to say hello and that the support in this community is very impressive from the amount of people willing to assist the new comers (like me :)).  I use to be strictly into consol gaming due to the lack of a computer that could handle the most basic of functions.  Recently upgraded because of all the youtube videos showing the amount of different aspects pc gaming can have when applied correctly.  The videos that catched my eye the most were the LCPDFR (alot of them were the Code Zero Gaming group) becuase I  have always been a fan of the GTA series and teh thought of completly flipping the game seems amazing.  But as stated being new to the pc world leaves questions and if I may reach out to this community that would be greatly appriciated.

1. When they say legal copy of the game are they refering to just GTA IV or some form of the LCPDFR download?

2. Is there a tutorial video of some sort on how to install the LCPDFR game and the mods that are available?

3. Is there ever a multi-player session that acts like a training acadamy for new players from the vets of the group?

4. With work, don't get to play alot but with regards to multi-player, must you join a group/squad or can it be done independently like regular GTA?

Sorry if these questions have been put out there before, I've beem trying to search thru post on my phone .  But any help I do greatly appriciate and look forward to playing and if somehow being a helpful contributor to the community in the future.

     Thanks,

          Tex (Nick)

Hello, and welcome to LCPDFR.com. Let's see if I can answer these questions!

1. A legal copy of the game refers to the game itself (i.e GTA IV or EFLC).

2. There are probably several tutorials located on LCPDFR.com and YouTube. We have an extensive section dedicated to tutorials (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action) and the LCPDFR Support forum has a troubleshooter before posting, and it also has a knowledge base (http://www.lcpdfr.com/forum/67-knowledge-base/).

3. Not hosted by LCPDFR atleast, no. The in-game tutorial should be well enough to learn the basics. There are also several manuals for LCPDFR

4. LCPDFR in fact works best in singleplayer. Being in multiplayer is no requirement at all.

Welcome to the PC gaming community, brother. Come for the gameplay, stay for the mods.

1. a legal copy of GTA IV/ EFLC can be bought for cheap from places such as Steam, gamersgate, and many more.

2. There are extensive tutorials on this site's FAQ and the readme of the LCPDFR install file.

3. There are no current 'official' multiplayer hosted sessions, and the LCPDFR mod is not officially supported in multiplayer, with varying stability.

4. As mentioned, multiplayer is not required.

Now get out there and catch some bad guys in the name of Gaben!

Lol. Thanks. I must admit the gaming is so much better

The best part is you can have a good multiplayer game without being repeatedly micspammed and called a 'hacker faggit noob 420 blazeit' at by a 12-year old with a sh*tty headset, 'cause their mom won't buy them a computer.
