Boston Police Officer Critically Wounded

Featured Replies

Such a horrible event, my heart goes out to the officer and his family. Maybe it's just the bias from living here and so many family members & friends serving with BPD but the Boston Police dept as a whole seems like it has rarely had bad publicity. While not all Boston officers are the friendliest they're always courteous and treat everyone fairly. The do the job right which makes it all the more troubling to see unprovoked attacks such as this.

That's terrible, unprovoked, just terrible. I hope he gets out of the coma and better, my thoughts and wishes go out to him and his family. Point blank under the eye, what a disgusting thing to do.

How come that criminal piece of shit didn't get life with no parole after shooting at the cops at the first time he did this? It's bad to say this, but I'm glad he is dead. Hope the officer will recover. There's gotta be some justice in this world.

Update for you all: He's been operated on, he has now been downgraded from critical status to stable, he is awake and talking again, and anxious to get back to work. The Vice President of the United States, Joe Biden, paid a visit to him in secrecy. President Obama mentioned him during a speech. He's thankful for the support. The suspect who did it is dead, shot to death by other officers, for those who were unaware. Unfortunately, according to news reports, people nearby had the typical Ferguson style response of "Don't Shoot, Hands Up, Brutality" etc. despite seeing the suspect fire first, shooting someone in the face, unprovoked. But at least the guy who did it can't hurt anyone else. I can guarentee however that his story won't run on CNN and FOX News 24 hours a day for the next 6 months though, unlike Ferguson. Some punk criminal gets a half year of fame and sympathy, and honest cop gets 5 minutes and is then shoved aside for the latest development on the suicidal co-pilot that was in another ****ing country (Germany).
