Controls and tazers

I am fairly new to playing LCPDFR, I love it but the keys (Fkeys) to go through the stopping procedure is maze like. Wouldn't it be better to hold in E and be able to scroll with the mouse for procedures like the partner/backup tab menu?

Also the tazer, after chasing a suspect and tazering him 15 times, I had to resort to beating him with a nightstick as he just acted like I had a water pistol. Maybe a random KO with it would suit better?

Just a thought, happy policing.

I'm not sure you can do that type on control scheme, However you can try to do it yourself as LCPD:FR 1.0 features customizable keybinds, so you can edit the keys to suit your fancy! Also, withe tazers they don't KO suspects, they shock the suspect to tighten up every muscle so the suspect can lose control and basically fall to the ground giving the officers time to subdue them. If you shoot them with a taser normally they should start moving around as if they're drunk (they use the drunk animation i believe) and quite possibly fall to the ground. once that happens you can press E to arrest them.

Thanks I will look into keybing and give it a try. The taser however, yes it does that, but on frequent occasion they just keep running once they get up, and im using up a windfarm of shots. Do you think this might be a problem caused by mods or something? A reinstallation maybe? Thanks.

Nope, that's normal with the peds. You shoot them wit a taser, they do a drunk animation and fall over, they get back up and run. which is why you should shoot them once or twice, aim at them and spam E so they don't run away. It's because once their animation timer ends they'll continue on as if they weren't shot/did the animation =)

Just an FYI, sometimes the suspect becomes "bugged" and you for one reason or another cannot arrest them. You'll know if this happens if you do not see an option while aiming at them to stop them. Your crosshair should flash blue/red in the middle while aiming at them. If they become bugged, either let the AI arrest them, or, do what I do and give them a single dose of gunshot to the head. It's a cure all dosage. :)
