3D Max Install Error

Featured Replies

So I am trying to install 3D Max and when I run the setup, I get an error message. This is the message:

Does anyone know why I am getting this error message. I am leaving the 3D Max website running while I run the setup file.

I am using Windows 8. Could that be why it's not working?

Nope. I have 3DS Max 2015 running on Windows 8.

If you have UAC (User Account Control) enabled, try disabling it, or alternatively try running the installer as admin.

I HAVE to use 2014. I am trying to get the GTA V wheels and 2015 doesn't work.

I disabled my UAC and still didn't work. The software automatically runs as administrator. Running out of ideas. :(

I had this error when I switched from 2013 3DS to 2014 3DS.  I had to uninstall all of the previous components by Autodesk (related to 3DS) from my PC.  It installed fine after that.

That's what I tried as well. I had 2015, uninstalled it, and still brings up that error.
