Added livery to car that came with it, and now els lights are messed up.

Featured Replies

So like the topic states I enabled the liveries to a vehicle I put in the came, I am still using the exact same ELS config that came with the car. But now when I turn the lights on it only shows blue when it should be red and blue, that is only when I use one of the other two liveries, when I leave the livery as the original the red and blue lights work... Anyone have any ideas what is wrong or how to fix it?

Make sure you are only replacing the files called [name]_sign_# (such as police_sign_1) and nothing else. It sounds like you are replacing the emerglights files. Also,

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

You're using an ELS pattern which has more than one light lit at a time for the primary lights.

Vehicles sporting a FS Valor are usually mapped in a goofy fashion like that - the lightbar is supposed to emulate the modules changing colours, so they map it to where extra1 maps half the lightbar red, extra2 maps the other half red, extra3 maps the original half blue, and extra4 maps the other half blue. Blue is over red, so all you see is blue.

I'd recommend switching to pattern 31 or 89 under "Primary Lights" for vehicles using a Valor. Make sure the lighting type is "LEDS".

Are there any other patterns you would recommend?

Cheers.

I'm not 100% certain since I recently replaced the vehicle, but any pattern which does not use e1 and e3, or e2 and e4 together should work. You should probably note that the left mirror/deck/reverse light is mapped for extra_1 AND extra_3 (and similarly mapped for the other side) so if you use a pattern which illuminates both colours on the lightbar, you will have both reverse/mirror/deck lights illuminate.

I always used 89 for ELS8, if that helps any. It's what I was using when I recorded the "headlight" portion of the corona patterns video. (>relevant thread)
