Configuration file doesn't work

Featured Replies

After installing the LCPDFR, I get a chance to set some options for the game and the mod. Now I wanted to adjust the settings because having too many cars in the pursuit causes massive mayhem around the city with more dead people than anything useful. I have set up the options but when I start a pursuit there are still too many cars and cops. Is this is a known bug or there is a mistake with my installation?

Right now I'm only using these scripts with LCPDFR:
Tow Service
Medical Service
Traffic Flow
Less Overtake

and CallOuts+

I just want to limit the number of cars in the pursuit down to maybe 2 and cops to 3-4 to prevent killing spree every time I chase someone.

Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, LCPD:FR does not despawn police units in the area once the limit is reached.  LCPD:FR  will tell the game to stop spawning more cops after the number is greater than what you specified during a pursuit, but not beforehand.  This means that if 20 Police Unis are in the vicinity already, they will join the pursuit.  So, to reduce the number of Police Units, you can use Traffic Flow or edit popcycle.dat to reduce the amount of police units spawning.

Thanks for the answer;

Hm, I thought it does spawn units but prevents them from joining the pursuit somehow. I've used some script for reducing cops in the area (they are removed or something) but it caused more errors

All the numbers in the ini do is say that it's okay for a unit to detach from the pursuit when the number of units in pursuit reaches your specified number. LCPDFR 1.0d does actually address the issue of infinite police in pursuits by dynamically decreasing your vehicle density when you are in pursuit. When shots are fired, it lowers it even more to try to keep the streets clear of abandoned vehicles.

LCPDFR itself does not control police vehicles that are spawned in traffic by the game, therefore it cannot despawn them.
