what do you want to do with your life

I am currently a nursing assistant at a fairly large regional hospital and will be graduating from nursing school in May. After passing my boards and getting my RN license, I hope to get a job as an RN at the same hospital. After working there for a year or two...I'm planning on hauling my ass to California. I've got family up there and besides the awesome weather, it's also one of the best states to practice nursing. Staff RNs make around $50-$60/hr (albeit with a high cost of living) and enjoy legally mandated nurse-to-patient ratios. It's not uncommon to see nurses at my hospital take on 8 patients on a Med/Surg unit. Meanwhile, in California, Med/Surg nurses can not be legally assigned more than 5 patients. Eventually, I do want to get my Master's to either become an NP or a nurse educator.

Become a Devil Dog in the United States Marine Corps and serve this great nation. Then become a Sergeant for either Baltimore City Police Department, or my local PD. Then purchase a beautiful home like the one below and live out the rest of my life with my wife and kids :)! Plus get that daily paycheck from prior service in the USMC :)

I have stated in a few topics over the years i have been here. I was originally going to be a Police Officer with the Tasmania Police here in Australia, however with their extremely ridiculous requirements and how i have seen some officers behave/interact with the public.. i soon realized that i would never be a police officer in this state, if i lived in a different state then my decision would be different.

Now, i'm working towards being a CSI (or known here as a Forensic Analyst) so i still get to work with law enforcement but i don't have the danger.. and i get to have fun on occasions. I'll need to finish my final year of college (which is defined different to American college), then i'll need to do a 3 year course at University so i can get a bachelors degree in Criminology.. if all goes well i'll be processing crime scenes in 2019.

Didnt know you were Tasmanian! Yes the police requirements are ridiculous here

Yep, Tassie born and raised.

Funny enough my career path changed completely. Completed a Cert III in Community Services and now work closely with the police (attached to a PCYC.. Which stands for Police and Community Youth Club) to help with disengaged youths... Completely different career path but still law enforcement related I guess haha.

If you want to me reply as soon as possible, then either quote or @CouthInk4  me as i'll be notified, a general reply will not notify me
