I was just wondering if anyone else has multiplayer issues. I found a roleplaying group and we all have the same mods. They have been playing for months without any issues however when i join I lag out in 10 seconds sometimes I play for 5 minutes and lag out. I don't think I have any hair left. My NAT is open and I am not sure if it is my modem or internet speed that may be the issue. Or something I am not even thinking of.

I have multiplayer issues but not like yours. I never "lag out" however I seem to get texture loss after a while and crash with LCPD:FR a hell of a lot. My only advice is to upgrade your PC/internet.

I have quite a few issues, the revamped MP group had modded cars in the first few games, but they made players crash a lot (non-els cars), it worked just fine when we used the default police vehicles.

I also have to be the first that joins the server, otherwise I cannot connect, usually with the error "unable to join a game you were kicked from".

When it comes to online in GTA IV, Alot of issues insue, Horrible Servers, Make sure Your NAT is open, Crappy NET Coding etc, It just takes some time to fine tune everything so everyone can join and enjoy them selves, Im sure you'll get it figured out, Just tweak your game a bit, JAM.

As I stated it does solve it (for me). I host, it works. Played for 3 hours straight.
