Time Cycle mod that makes ELS and game look great without an ENB..

Featured Replies

its the timecycle dat that affects the els lights with reality 2.0 I been trying to figure out whats causing the dullness of the lights for awhile and it might be intensity bloom but im not sure it seems to make the sky more white the higher I raise it, dk has been really busy so haven't been able to help other than suggest that it might be glow light size but I don't think that affects it...I have no clue

Ah okay, I don't really know much about this sort of stuff so I tend to not want to fiddle around with the coding.

Did you already tried ELS Enhancement 3.0? see the link that I posted on the 1st page

Yeah I did, it didn't work out well since I have RealityIV 2.0 installed, thanks anyway!

What do you mean it didn't work out well? Does it not look good for you or there were problems with installing?

Installing was fine, It just didn't look any good put together with RealityIV.

What tahoe model do you have in your earlier picture?

I'm willing to take one crack at this,  and see if I can find alternative settings for ELS.

It's out of this pack - '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>

If you were able to figure out how to get this to work I'd be forever grateful! If it was possible I'd love to have my lights like the one in this video but still keep RealityIV 2.0.

Try copy and pasting Sgt. kanyo's timecyc over your Reality IV, overwrite at all instances.

I'll try that now and see how it goes!

Edit: I just tried it and the ELS is looking better. But as you can see in the photo below it now looks like it's snowing or when your tv has the snowing on it when something is wrong with reception.

The lack of ELS bloom is the only thing lacking with RealityIV V2.0. Other than that It looks awesome, and personally I don't think I will use an ENB after installing that.

Cheers.

It's perfect for Non-ELS models, it's just are shame there are hardly any decent models out there. If I knew how to make cars I'd be making heaps of Non-ELS cars. There is a pack I really want to make/have it made by someone just to boost the Non-ELS community.

This is all I can do.  And it is my nicest looking result so far without a ENB.  (it isn't saying much though,  good for what it is.   But I would still take the FPS hit with how the ENB improves lighting)

So this config is specifically for ELS lighting.   If you don't have a problem with custom brightness settings and how the world may look.  Let me know and i will post all my .ini settings and ingame settings.   Freaking late right now,  so i'll respond tomorrow.

>>Fresh GTA IV install  >>LCPDFR 1.0d install  >> ELS 8.0 install.   //the only file I edited is visualsettings.dat + slight alterations to ELS.ini

Included picture of Crown Vic,  so you can see how the normal lightbars will look.

Not bad. I'd like to see more photos, especially ones through out the day. :)

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.  My motivation is simply the dislike of the "flare / star burst glow" the normal ELS lights have.

So either I use a ENB(with FPS drop) so the glow is a smooth and even distribution.

Or if I have to play with no ENB...  I will try to diminish the "star burst glow" as much as possible without losing too much of the bold light colour.

2nd Screenshot = 18:00hr -Tahoe's interior lightbar is muted, I believe from the tinted windows.

3rd Screenshot = 06:00hr - Tahoe and Impala
