Failed To Find Save Game Error With 1.0d

So let me start by saying I understand that the error says this is not an LCPD:FR error, and not to report it. However I have tried running the game completely clean (with only LCPD:FR installed) well over 5 times under 2 fresh installs of the game from steam, with no luck. I didn't think that installing my mods would fix anything, but you will see in the logs I tired it anyway. I haven't found anything on this topic, yet I have heard from a few people who were experiencing this same problem. For example I am sure you guys have heard of Jeff Favignano:

I tried to record lcpdfr to no avail, 1.0d is broken on my pc saying it cant find a save game file. I am gonna go have fun, happy new years!

I ran .95, 1.0a, 1.0b, and 1.0c without getting this error, so that is why I believe this is a problem with 1.0d. Enough with my ranting here are the logs:

This just means LCPDFR did not autosave your game before it crashed. This may occur when you have crashed in less than 30 seconds after activating LCPDFR or LCPDFR was not running and hence couldn't save.

This probably has nothing to do with LCPDFR.

It means your game crashed. Treat it as you would GTA crashing normally / borked installation.

 

The failed to find savegame just means that the LCPDFR Error Recovery could not kick in -- probably because LCPDFR didn't even start.

 

And I've never heard of Jeff Favignano in my life.

I meant the savegame.fr created by LCPDFR 1.0d. With it game crashes, without it game crashes, with an empty one game crashes... What to do about that? Also the presence or absence of oldsession.fr file doesn't seem to affect anything...

As for the issue of the original poster, your game crashes before it can even launch LCPDFR. My best guess would be a corrupted handling file as it dies in a function I have reversed as "CHandlingVehicle::Parse".

 

For the other guys asking for help here: Not finding a savegame is not an issue! If you crash while loading LCPDFR is not responsible as it's not even running at that point.

Then why this issue is not seen on any other version of LCPDFR? I also tried vanilla game without any luck. I have never used a GTA savegame for LCPDFR if that is what you mean. With a savegame.fr LCPDFR just crashes and restarts the game, without it only crashes. What can be the cause? I also tried 1.0c and that works as usual. There is got to be something for this fix.

You got it wrong, "Savegame not found" refers to the actual LCPDFR savegame, not the game savegame file. The LCPDFR savegame is created every 30 seconds by LCPDFR to save player's model, skin, vehicle etc. to restore it in case of a crash. This feature was introduced in 1.0d. When your game crashes during load without a LCPDFR savegame, then LCPDFR is not responsible.
