Are the mouse and keyboard wireless or wired?

They are wired.

Does it do the same if your GPU is disconnected? It could be a faulty GPU, and as such the motherboard shuts parts down.

Yes, And the video card i got at the beginning of this year, i was told by a friend that it could be my PSU?

Hm yeah that is also a possibility. This isn't really my domain of expertise, what's the output on the PSU?

Does the monitor actually power off, or does it just stop displaying stuff?

IT powers off as if i shut the computer down. The light turns from blue to amber.

Without diving too deeply it sounds like a PSU Issue. Sounds like faulty PSU or it's getting overwhelmed with consumption and is shorting out on most of the connections. Just my initial thought though. Could be your motherboard as stated above as well (Connections going bad/circuits getting old/worn out).

Okay, so it's not actually powering off (powering off turns off the light, and is completely separate from turning off the computer).

What motherboard do you have, and what kind of USB ports are the keyboard and mouse plugged into? (i.e. are they plugged straight into the motherboard? into an expansion card?)

The motherboard is a A880GZ. The keyboard and mouse are plugged into the motherboard no expansion card.

My desktop PC had similar problems, which have been on and off for about a year. My PC recently just crashed. The motherboard died. The cause was having my memory near full capacity or in the red zone for a long time. That took a toll on my motherboard.

Now my PC is unrepairable. Have to get another PC, luckily my memory is intact and can be saved.
