ELS Questions- TrafficFlow Not Working?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I've been using LCPDFR for a few months now, but I never bothered to install car mods or ELS. Now, I do have one car enabled with ELS. I had a few questions going forward:

1) Do I have to replace the original file whose name the car mod has? For example, if I want to mod my Noose car slot using a slicktop CVPI download with files fbi.wft and fbi.wtd, would it be ok to change the name to noose.wtd and noose.wft so that the Noose car slot can be modded?

2) Is it possible to mod EFLC police car slots such as the Police Stinger and Police Buffalo?

3) Are ELS-H cars less crash-prone than full ELS V6 vehicles when paired with LCPDFR?

As always, thanks in advance for the answers to these puzzling questions. I really appreciate the help I can receive here.

1. Yes, you can change the name (no, you don't have to replace the same car).

2. Yes. Just set police3 and police4 to enabled in ELS.ini.

3. I don't know, but I'd suspect not (ELS-H seems to add and remove extras faster than normal ELS in order to get a nice spinny effect)

Thanks for the very quick answers! This is, for the most part, very good news, and it will enable me to try a few more different cars out hassle free.

I guess if you use a different type of vehicle, for example as i did and made the security truck to a small securityvehicle. importing the car that was meant for police.wtf, you also have to use the same settings in the vehicles.ide file for the police for the security van. its something with the animations :) But for cars you can use them more or less as you wish :)

@unr3al- Sorry about putting this in the wrong section; I was pretty tired when I posted it, and I've never used the regular GTA IV forums before, so when I saw in "Random", that it said "anything that doesn't have to do with LCPDFR", I assumed that my thread would pertain to that topic.

Ok, thanks for that bit of information. I think I have everything set now, but I have run into a new problem that is associated with car mods.

Currently, only my "FBI" car slot is modded with at high-poly Ford Focus police car. Even after installing TrafficFlowV5, I still am experiencing the taxi bug. If it helps a bit, my resources currently used for VRAM are about 650MB/1018MB, and my traffic density is set at 50. I am using EFLC, if compatibility is an issue. Is there a way to fix my solution, or do I just have to use a lower-poly car mod?

It should work with Traffic Flow V5 R2.

I have several hi poly cars installed, and it works fine.. Of course you often see the same cars when you mod your game.. i dont think there are any better workaround than this.

Sorry that I didn't clarify, but I do have TrafficFlow V5 R2 installed, and only one car mod installed, but there appears to be no difference in traffic variety before and after installing TrafficFlow.

Might not be compatible with EFLC... There is no info in there. but seems like its only for GTAIV, looking in the .INI file, and the vehicle names..

I use it on my GTAIV 1070, and works great there :\

Well, the game still starts, even with TrafficFlow installed; even if its configurable pool of cars is only from GTA IV cars, all GTA IV cars are included in EFLC, so I'm not sure that's evidence of incompatibility with EFLC. I won't mind if it can be officially confirmed by someone that TrafficFlow does not work with EFLC.

On that note, is there any alternative to TrafficFlow that is confirmed to be compatible with EFLC?

You could try to edit the 10 of the 20 cars to POLICE3 or POLICE4 to see if it does spawn any of them at all.. :) That would confirm it :)

Yeah, it should say GTAIV or GTAIV EFLC in compatibility, not Newer Versions :)

I'll consider doing that, but that seems pretty risky as is. Do you know of any actual examples of traffic fixes that are compatible with EFLC? The only ones I can find are confirmed to be compatible with 1.0.4.0 or 1.0.7.0.

My YouTube Channel---- Role Play Code 3

If it works with 1.0.7.0, then it almost certainly works with EFLC 1.1.2.0, unless it specifically says otherwise.
