  • Pay attention to every single detail. When I made my first OPP skin, I thought it looked good, but it didn't look anything like it at all. In your skin, the "Mansfield Township" text

  • Do you have any suggestions on things that could be improved (if they haven't been mentioned before)? The best way for someone to improve is to be given examples of what they should do differently.

  • I'm just saying it looks really, really bad.   No thanks.

With all due respect, we all start somewhere with textures. I know I did for sure. While it may be one of your first, you still need more practice. I am not trying to discourage you. What program are you using to make textures? There are many friendly users in this community to ask for help from (including myself. Don't be afraid to shoot us messages!), there are many tutorials on this site, and YouTube has plenty of tutorials. I recommend you take all the time needed to fully put 100% effort into your vehicles. Don't be afraid to look at many different pictures of vehicles also to help make skinning easier. Best of luck!

thanks why it dose not really look good i went in blind and did not use any picture for that car but

i would like to know how to copy like little thing like the nypd sin or a picture and put it on the car  and i use paint.net

I'm going to be straight out, It's pretty crappy. However, I do see that you are barely starting out on skins and would like to give you some advice. First, get a good "design" program. I'd recommend Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/) It is free and easy to use for a starter like you. Second, try looking for some different fonts. Seems like you just took whatever font the program preset for you and slapped the text on. Look around, there are some free ways to get good fonts. If you're having problems with lines, try searching some tutorials. If you need help, do not come to me, though, there are plenty of other places to look. I will ignore help requests. (Nothing against you, it's just I'm not very "nice" with teaching people.)

Next time when replying, click "quote" on the bottom right hand my comment so I get a notification when you respond. Also, keep practicing, I wasn't born as a Compeast, but I got better and better after a while.

I think you should use different colors for the stripes and then the text. I can barely read "POLICE" off it.

I suggest taking a look at this:

Also, why are you even posting this if you "know people think it's crap"?
