Difference between Dsound.dll, AdvancedHook.dll and ScriptHook.dll versions?

Featured Replies

What is the main difference between the versions of DSound.dll, AdvancedHook.dll and ScriptHook.dll files?

I see several versions of these out there, and im just curious if any of you uses some versions that work better than others? And what is the main difference?

Last night i lost my left channel audio ingame. My guess that is related to the dsound.dll file i am running?

DSOUND.dll has nothing to do with your sound. It is a ASI loader which allows you to use scripts such as "LCPDFR", "Simple native trainer" and others such as the "less overtaking" mod. You might want to check any audio drivers etc if your having problems with your sound.

Aha :) I was thinking as the dsound.dll file usually handles sound in other cases, it would be so here too :) But what is the difference between the versions of the loader? And i see some say you have to use an older version for some mods, and a newer file for some mods.

Too be honest, I'm not completely sure as I'm not a developer but I know that the newer versions are the most compatible with the latest patches as that's why they were updated. Obviously if a mod was created to work with a older version of a file then it won'e be completely stable with a newer version of it.

Hope that makes sense.
