Budget PC

Featured Replies

I need a temporary desktop under $500.00 that can run GTA 4 multiplayer with mods(Cars, Script's, Uniforms) installed. Can anyone help.

I suggest an AMD based pc; They tend to have the best value.  GTA IV could run very well at low-medium quality with an intergrated graphics processor from an A series CPU.

I don't know how much value/performance you'll get out of a pre-built desktop for $500 but you should be a ble to build a decent computer for that price, possibly a little bit over depending on what hardware you want.

Try and build a PC using this site, then you'll get a rough idea of how much it'll cost - http://au.pcpartpicker.com/

It tends to be cheaper if you build your own PC, as you normally pay extra if you buy a pre-built one because sometimes they "up" the price so the builders can get a bit of money for spending their time building it.

My best tip of advice is if you're on a budget, Don't buy a pc with a hard drive (you could save 50-100 bucks or so) use your current one (if its in good condition). Also sell your old PC in parts, ie the RAM, Graphics and see how much you can get out of it. Maybe 50 maybe 100 bucks depending how good the stuff is. Also purchase a 120gb SSD for you OS and put one or two games on it (maybe GTAIV LCPDFR ?!?!?!?!?) Thats what I did !

Also CONSIDER OVERCLOCKING ! Get a Corsair H80i or H100i (if your'e planning on buying a full ATX case because an ATX case most likely wont fit the H100i)

Good Luck !
