can you have helicopters spawn in the bus.wtf and bus.wtd file or a regular car to drive around in traffic or would it crash the game i know it sounds stupid but i wondered that 

Try it out, then just replace the bus back if it does

rule of thumb for GTA IV if you have to ask "will this crash the game" typically it means yes, but i am curious to see haha!

Make sure in Open IV you make the tags say heli.

The shit the busses already do in this game...

Know you are replacing them with helicopters, lol.

I'm interested in what's going to actually happen.

It'll work, I've done it before. Altough flying them without changing handling-lines etc is a different tale :P

For your information, there exists a mod that replaces the Stretch with a Subway train car. So your project of having helicopters driving around should work.

Or just drive the helicopters around like buses, like some Helicopter based street race. That'd be a sight to see in LC.
