So please, can you guys tell me a step by step, starting with installing GTA to playing LCPDFR. Thanks so much guys! Details please :)

And when I download LCPDFR I also need to know where to put it and stuff.

Once again, thanks!

Do you run Windows 7 on your new Computer?

Whatever I listed below you might just want to Google and download

So what you need to get started is you will need to download the

What is needed to start the download of LCPDFR:

- .NET Framework 4 Full Profile

-Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable

-Legitimate Copy of GTAIV - Which you should have when the game arrives

-Games for Windows Live Redistributable 3 Which will download when you start the game after you are done downloading GTAIV/EFLC.

So you might just want to Google those and get those in your PC. The purpose of doing that is for enabling and allowing LCPDFR to download. Although you can refer to for more help. Trying doing all of right now or after you download your game.

FYI:

LCPDFR will just automatically be placed into your Scripthook folder in your GrandTheft Auto 4 Directory after download. For more information on this, you can go to the directory AFTER you download GTAIV and it is properly installed: Computer > C: Drive > Programs (x86) > Rockstar Games > Grand Theft Auto 4 and in there you will find all of your modifications and modded files. But, regardless of that, your Vehicle Mods/Weapon mods and some other mods will NOT go in GTA4 Directory but will go into SparkIV/OpenIV which I will give you more info later.

Do I need to download all of those things? Or is that optional?

All needed in order for GTA IV To run properly as well as LCPDFR and other mods, There nto hard to install, Mostly all .exe Auto Installs so it should't be hard.

It is very confusing rather than complex for beginners. But, I'll show you once or twice and you will get the hang of it. Read my 1st Post up there in the FYI section to answer your question.

And yes, as Justin said, it is required to install LCPDFR. If you don't have those, then you cannot continue your LCPDFR Download. Here, just and just click "Next" until you reach a window where you can see the green "Checkmarks". If they are ALL Checked, then you don't need to do what I said above, if some are check and some not, then just download the one that has the Red X on it.

Ah darn it, sorry for the Double Post! I didn't realize it until after. Sorry!

For car mods, This was the video I found a while back, Got me started imediatley, For car mods, you will need Spark IV installed: http://code.google.com/p/gtaivtools/downloads/list

As far as other mods, Theres a few small catogories, Car mods (listed above), Script mods, and mods that replace stock game files, Asi etc. While that's not all them, Thats just a few off the top of my head.

Script mods are as simple as drag and drop, Literally, Same with ASI mods, Mods that replace stock game files are as simple as replacing a file.

There are SO many tutorials out there, Youtube, Gtapolicemods.com, Gta4moding sites, Etc. Take a look around, You'll find what you need.

Nice video found, Avrohom, I suggest you refer to this video on how to import car mods and download sparkiv. Its very simple once you get the hang of it. Hehe, and for your info, every file you download of car will have .wtd and .wft. Always 2 files.

Thanks guys! So Im gonna do this step by step...and probably need some help along the way. But the next/first step would be to install GTA EFLC. And after that try to download LCPDFR and see what else that tells me to download?

LCPDFR Is meant to run on a clean, Un modded version of GTA IV/EFLC, I suggest you just do this:

Get Gta installed,Make sure its working, Have fun with it for a bit.

Get LCPDFR, Play it and LEARN IT, Its not a simple mod, It takes some time to get used to, Don't get into all the un needed stuff like modded cars and un necasary scripts, Wait till down the road, When your confident to do it, Don't let other s*** mods mess up your first time experiencing LCPDFR, Its perfectly fine stock, Trust me.

JAM.

PS: When you DO start adding other stuff in, Don't over do it, Do it SLOWLY, add one mod at a time, And start from there, See if it runs good, Then, Add another if you want, Over doing it doesen't make the game fun, How you play it is what makes it fun, You can easily F*** Up your game just by adding one simple crappy mod, And its never fun to re install...

Hey Guys,

I just got GTA IV and it is awesome. I downloaded LCPDFR (saw all the great videos and youtube and really the only reason I got the game) and went to the install page and when I got the check marks everything was checked except the "xliveless" and no red "x". This is kind of a dumb question but I go into the game get past the first movie, and press CTRL+P, and it says that it has switched to LCPFR mode and description comes up in the bottom right. I go the police station and clock in, but when I go to pull someone there are no options to give them a ticket. I saw on the video's that there was a red circle for them to walk to and I never see that.

Am I just loading the game completely wrong, or if right am I doing something else wrong? If this has been posted somewhere else then I am sorry. I have seen that people are a little testy on that. I just couldn't find it anywhere and this looked a good place to start.

Thanks for the help

Well, it's usually suggested to drop off Roman at first if I'm not mistaken, and then maybe save your game there. Then try it, also remember when you pull someone over, you have to press "Shift", the officer (unless you're on lighting mode "3" (activated by the "/" key), then they'll simply pull over when you press shift) should shout something through the megaphone of the car, and the in most cases, will pull over, and you will have a prompt telling you to "get behind the car" and when you're positioned right, it will tell you to approach the window (the red circle shows here), which from there, there are options you can follow to get through the rest.

I hope that helps.
