Streets and buildings don't load.

Featured Replies

Hello,

So I have GTA IV and the streets and buildings don't load. I don't reach the minimum requirements with the graphics card, which is why it doesn't load. My laptops current graphics card is non-replaceable. I can't afford to buy another computer so I'm stuck. Is there any way to bypass this problem and play the game, even if it's in terrible quality? As long as I see streets, buildings, cars, people etc. I can only see myself, my police car, inside the state and some other stuff.

Thanks!

Well all I can say is to buy a better Graphics Card if you want to add a lot of mods to your game. But what is happening is you have to many high poly cars, and therefore your Computer can't handle that much. I recommend modding FBI slots or if you want to take some risks, you can mod police and police2. What I meant by that is it can sometimes crash your game of using certain keys such as calling for noose backup or Air support. It really depends on your PC.

But to answer your question, I would just suggest to get a better graphics card and improve your PC. That mostly is the way to get better graphics. And, you can also delete some programs that you don't need and that can somewhat help your game. Since it removes your MB.

Try running at lowest settings.Make a new text document "commandline.txt" in GTA:IV root directory, and write -safemode

I hope this would do.Although,I DO NOT recommend doing this if you have a laptop.A desktop machine could've survived with that much stress, but running a poorly optimised games like IV on a "not meant for" laptop is highly risky.Your machine could blow up,lad.I'd say give it up.Go for SA.Its as much fun (even more in some aspects).

Do not use the [size] tags like that!

You only have 60mb video memory?

For the sake of your laptop, don't play GTA IV.

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

He said he was playing on a desktop. And I don't know if you can run games that are even 5-10 years old with that low video memory.
