Need some help with police car mods

Featured Replies

Hey,

So this may be a kinda stupid question, sorry in advance if it is, but I recently saw a topic somewhere on this site in wich it is stated a lot of modified police vehicles tend to crash your game or at least be so big(in filesize) that it runs less smooth. So my question is; wich ones could I use? I modified nearly every police vehicle, except for the SWAT thing...

Would apreciate it id you could drop some links to decent police mods aswel(preferably with ELS!)

BX bugs's cars tend to be christmas trees...

Luxarts cars are very basic....

Theres no in between, both are equally as good though

Hmm, ok. But someone on this board rathered refered to Bxbugs cars as shitmobiles, and that they caused a lot of trouble...

Someone else said it was best not to use Crown vics, tahoes, Impala's, because GTA is not made for it...

Thanks anyway :)

i need help starting out into doing mods because i saw them i downloaded alot of stuf to try to do it and i cant do it can someone go through the computer onto mine and setup my mods

**NOTE: BEFORE INSTALLING ANY MODS, GO TO GTA IV/PC/DATA/MODELS/CDIMAGES AND BACK UP VEHICLES.IMG!!**

Download a program called Spark IV: http://www.gtainside...at=326&id=28310

--

Then a program called WinRAR: http://www.rarlab.com/

--

Extract the Spark IV Zip file to a folder on your desktop

--

Run SparkIV as a Administrator. Once it loads, click on GTA IV or EFLC - depending on what version your modding.

-

Look for the "Vehicles" option on SparkIV and double click it.

-

In the new box that pops up, scroll down and click the vehicle you want to mod; example below;

Say I wanted to mod the Police Patrol into a Dodge Charger, in SparkIV the police patrol is called POLICE2

-

Each vehicle has a .wft and a .wtd file.

-

Click either police.wtf ONCE then click "import"

-

Search for the car mod you downloaded.

-

MAKE SURE YOU SELECT THE RIGHT FILE! DON'T PICK ADMIRAL.WTF IF YOUR REPLACING POLICE2.WTF ETC.

-

Double click it and scroll back down on SparkIV, Police2.wtf should now be in Light blue font.

-

Do the same process for police2.wtd

-

Once both files are replaced correctly, Click "Rebuild"

-

Now click "Save" and close SparkIV

-

Voila, your done. Enjoy your car mods.

Ha, WinRAR = crapware, sorry shareware(crapware). Use 7Zip, it is open source.

Unpacks the files for me.

Thats all I want it to do, personal preferance.

Nothing wrong with WinRAR that I've noticed, either.
