The main question I have for you is " are you using ENB Settings? I can't play without my ENB settings which make LCPFR even more fun and realistic, but If I take it off it's great to get max FPS but I want better quality and great FPS...

Actually no Im not running ENB. I looked at the mods like that, and I kept reading about it "possibly" overheating my GPU. Im not sure how it could do that, but the idea of some program somehow overheating my GPU does not interest me.

Seeing as a GPU can only have up to 100% load, a mod should not get the GPU any hotter than normal.

I had LCPD:FR .95 with no other mods and I still crash at random times. I had to revert to the Stable version which is not as fun. My PC should be able to run the mod fine so I have no clue why it cra

Thank you for the advice, I love my GTX 570 and overheating is never a problem for me...

as for me i got alot of car mods i even retextured cars that came with the game i got to many script mods to count &i never crash i got els & siren tool & a tme sqaure mod too i never crash my only issue is every once in a while bravehearts policing script will crash out & i got to reload it but if i want to use its stuff but other then that it runs great

I very rarely crash. Every now and then one of my modded cars wont' show up and I'll glitch out during car selection, but a game restart fixes that. I even have an unstable test build. lol I think LCPD:FR has come a long way since version .91.

I have timecycle v5, els v5 moded cars, and can play for hours I usually get bored before texture issues or even a crash, I uses non-els in police1/2 and non-els fire/ems

I only have modded cars and SNT as additional modifications and I don't crash. Things just start to stop working within the mod, then I restart the mod and then my view distance goes down to like 4 inches.. Then I just rage quit.

I've got every emergency vehicle modded, and GTA won't crash for about 30-60 minutes. I do love all my modded cars and my ELS so I really don't mind the crashes. Plus, I'm a big procrastinator so when GTA crashes I sometimes take that as a sign that it's time to do my work :P

I have most of my vehicles modded, weapon sounds, ELS V6 (recently upgraded again from V5) since i updated my graphics card i get bored before i get any crashes :D

I have all police cars modded, modded the Dukes, ELS v6, tons of weapon mods, Police Helper, Ultimate Bullet Matrix mod, First Person mod, ton of ped skins ect. I can play for hours without crashing, unless I call NOOSE

I've got all my police cars modded on TBOGT but nothing else, and the graphics jacked up as far as it can go. It's usually fine but sometimes it craps out about 20-30mins in. Doesn't bother me in the slightest though because I will never play with the shitty original police cars XD

  • 2 weeks later...

I fixed my crashes by removing els cars from police and police 2 slots and make my primary police car a FBI before I would get maybe 30 minutes or less on a crash and now I dont get them at all. I had a random game lock up once but no crashing to desktop.

My average playing times vary also. Running LCPD:FR RC2, ELS V5, Policehelper, Bravehearts Policing Script, TowService, DashCam, Breathalizer script, and 1 car pack. I really don't even care about the crashes, but it takes SO long to reload the game and get back into it.

ELS is for chumps. Use the strobe mod and get the same effect. I use only in-game modded cars, like the Buffalo, etc...and I can play to my hearts content. There are plenty of simple small mods that don't take away from the game world that are fun to use.

Ditch all that stuff, get some lore-friendly cars (I swear I use that phrase too much) and you'll be golden.

I do have a gaming rig that is ancient though. 3GB RAM , Nvidia GTX295 and on a 2.6 dual core. No slowdown.

Well, It never crashes to me, like someone said above I play til I quit, sometimes I'm playing as a LEO and 5 minutes after I finished with Police I start a super massacre on the airport.

I get the odd crash here and there while running LCPDFR but its not too bad. I have a lot of custom cars and ELS though. Does anyone know if theres a fix for the police computer when running enb with AA enabled?

Since re-installing GTA and only running LCPDFR with IVDashcam I've only crashed twice in the last week or so. I had to take that hit and skip out on some great mods but the game runs great.

Is there a modder you can recommend that modifies ingame cars? I'm looking for a little bit of change in my fleet. Thanks.
