The Ratman is a common myth in Grand Theft Auto IV. It's existence is currently unproven, but many of GTA IV's fans have argued over whether it does exist or not. Most pictures that appear on the internet are real in-game clips, but because there is currently no active mod for the Ratman, they are most likely just photoshopped images. Some pictures are also just the result of a common mistake, such as the mistaking of homeless people in the subway for the Ratman.

At a convention, a GTA CEO stated that "There currently is no Ratman, but it is possible that in games like these with many graphics, something could erupt and take on a role of it's own".

lol best ratman proof I have seem to date.

1. Ratman doesn't exist. Same with Bigfoot in SA.

2. I didn't know GTA is a company and has a CEO

3. If the CEO of Rockstar or executive producer said that, it's to get people interested in the game

no i have, found him he is real, he is hard to find though.

He is located by a barrel on fire in the subway with hobos next to him, he has orange eyes, furry arms and a beard (well at least for my pc version)

it's possible that he does exist, if Rockstar could put something as pointless as putting a beating heart in the statue of happiness then i'm sure it would be possible

Yes it's entirely possible but the game has been out since 2008 and there has been no solid proof

it's only 1 person too be found in an ENTIRE city or Subway, i'm surprised someone hasn't gotten cheeky and made a ratman ped mod LOL

well then why did he yell i am ratman? unless that came from a diffrent person that ran away when i killed this guy

If ratman existed in-game, his texture files would be inside the game data. No one has ever found ANY type of texture that even remotely looks like ratman. The game can't randomly make a ratman without data files.
