What are your tricks to keep multiplayer off crashes?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone.

I'm a quite new player and i read a lot that multiplayer crashes are normal thing and I'm amazed how people who share their videos about the MP gameplay on the web can play with the minimum rate of crashes. So I'm here trying to find the best way to play multiplayer with the least number of crashes I can get.

I realize that i shouldn't expect official help about multiplayer unless it'll be fully supported so i post a thread when you can share your solutions to keep multplayer game in the most stable condition.

How do clans make theirs plays stable with lots of players? Which mods causes frequent crashes? Which are not dangerous to GTAIV performance? Which graphics settings are the best? Which scripts you should avoid? What situations in LCPDFR you should avoid?

Feel free to discuss.

The less scripts, the less crashes. I don't think graphics affect much because people aren't using the same graphics. I run CryENB while my friend uses the default graphics. And I think clans don't crash that much because they're using 0.95 or they don't have a lot of extra scripts. I crash a lot because I have a lot shit running, policehelper, all the vdh scripts, breathalyzer, etc.

Don't play multiplayer while using LCPDFR, that's the best trick to prevent the game from crashing. It's not supported, never has been, and likely never will be if focus shifts to GTA V.

The key for me, and the communities I have been apart of, is by having as close to the same directories as possible. When I record my videos with my buddies, we genrally have the same cars, handling, weapons (and weapons.xml) peds and scripts. We can usually stay in game anywhere from 20 minutes to hours depending on the day.
