Will Grand Theft Auto 4 run on these specs?

Featured Replies

Hi guys. I been told that my Macbook Pro won't be able to play Grand Theft Auto 4. I decide for Christmas that I'm going to get a new PC Tower to play LCPDFR. I have 4 PC Towers that I am currently looking at. Can someone tell me if they will meet the requirements of GTA 4 and which one will work better? Here are the 4 PC Towers. Which one do you prefer?

Like iiKonrad said, those are over priced. Never buy from BestBuy because they are just way too over priced usually. Look on ebay, as he said, but also check out newegg.com and other site like that. That is where I got my PC.

Those PCS are extremely overpriced..try buying from ebay if your actually gonna buy a prebuilt pc.

The point is you can build a better one for probably the same price as those and why would you build for just one game? that doesn't really make sense.

Yes, its just for one game for now. But, I will buy other games sooner or later.

I would get this, http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-9-GHZ-QUAD-CORE-8GB-RAM-1TB-HDD-CUSTOM-GAMING-PC-DESKTOP-COMPUTER-SYSTEM-/261552298094?pt=Desktop_PCs&hash=item3ce5bb586e and upgrade the gpu.

Some people dont wanna go through the hassle of waiting for parts, building the pc, compatibility issues, etc. Also, bend one pin on your motherboard and your fucked over. Whats wrong with buying a pc for one game? Its there money.

I'm just saying invest in something that goes beyond GTA 4 since you plan on playing other games beside it but its just my opinion.

It is his money but like he said above he plans on playing other games beside GTA 4...I'm just trying to inform him that building for one game doesn't make a ton of sense unless that is all you plan on playing but its his money and its just my opinion.

Well like I said plan on just using it for gta IV. But, if you guys have any ideas of a cheaper way. Other than getting parts or stuff off of ebay be my guest. But I still like to known if those systems I mention fit the requirements. If GTA 5 is able to work for LCPDFR then I will get GTA 5 instead of GTA IV.

Yea, to be honest thats what i'm plan on doing is just playing GTA 4 Or GTA 5 on pc. I might get a different game sooner or later. But, not thinking about that yet.

So my whole is to build for both if you don't do anything else

I don't know if I want to build. I not good at that stuff and with the parts. I rather just buy something then build.

I'm sure you can find someone to do so but if you want a pre-built one and it seems like the best option for you then do so.

Ok, Thank you for your help. Money isn't the issue so I'm probably going to get one at Best Buy. But can you or someone else answer my question and tell me if those 4 Prebuilt towers will run GTA 4 with LCPDFR?

This is the computer that I bought, granted it was about $40 cheaper when I bought it, but it can handle just about anything I throw at it. It runs GTA IV just fine with high settings and whatnot. The processor is better than most of the ones you posted, there is more HDD space. Even though it only has 8 GB of RAM, it still runs everything extremely well. The graphics card isn't top of the line, but it also isn't shit, so it handles the games well. If I were you, I would look on newegg.com, the amount of money you are looking to spend can go much further there.

Here is the link to mine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883227507

It's August. A lot is going to change before December. Don't waste time looking for stuff right now.
