Custom Skins

Featured Replies

When you use a custom skin for a car does that include the ELS light setup or just strictly the paintjob on the car?

Visit me on youtube. The most common reason for crashing is user error. Make sure you have the latest RAGE, ScripthookV, ScripthookVdotnet and turn off your antivirus. Make sure you have an up to date gameconfig.xml as well. Use Allbo's plugin troubleshooter to find any errors too.

You can't change the light setup via skin, as it is part of the model. You CAN edit the color of the lights though.

It would be just the paint job.

To elaborate on these two points, a skin is a paint job, so editing one of those or using a new one would edit how the car's livery looks. However, the texture file that skin is inside of also contains the color mapping for ELS lights, so editing the image file that contains the mapping would edit the ELS color. If that makes any sense.

I found two excellent crown vics for police 1 and 2. Now I am looking for a cool undercover car for the fbi. I tried a black unmarked crownvic but didn't like it too much. Trying to find a charger or something else. Any suggestions for ones you may use? I have been searching on the gtapolicemods site.

I use DeathsDeciple's charger at the moment for fbi undercover car. VERSION: CHGR v1.0IL-ELS.

But I'm not sure if it is still downloadable anywhere.

Cj24 has one http://www.gta-moddi...2-ac/index.html

Actually if you check his site he has a few versions.

I don't know what happened earlier but I tried to launch my game twice and right when it was beginning to load my save the game crashed. I recently added in a new charger so I changed all my police vehicles to the default ones or so I thought. When I launched my game the third time to see if it would work with the old cars I was suprised to find that all the cars were my modded ones. IDK WTF I DID. Scared myself lol.

Guess no harm no foul eh? Game plays just fine as it did before I experienced crashes...idk what I did but who cares because its working perfectly. Thanks for all the help with cars guys.
