LCPDFR 0.95 RC1 on GTA IV Patch 1.0.4.0

Featured Replies

Hello, I am having issues with LCPDFR 0.95 RC1 for GTA IV Patch 1.0.4.0. It seems that the problem is caused by the AdvancedHook.dll provided with the automatic installation. Once I press play, the artwork starts then the black loading screen then it crashes. I know it is caused by AdvancedHook.dll because if I take it out and put the AdvancedHook.dll that came with LCPDFR 0.91, there are no crashes whatsoever. However the AdvancedHook.dll that came with 0.91 isn't fully working. For example the main problem is exactly like this post, ( ) . The text box in the top left hand corner does not properly display sentences, instead of saying " Welcome to LCPD:FR, to go on duty get to a police station " it simply says the first letter of everything in this case it just says " W ". Same goes for every other sentence, it just says the first letter of each sentence making the mod unplayable for me. In the GTA IV main directory I have ScriptHook.dll v0.4.0 and ScriptHookDotNet.dll v1.7.1.4. Is there a way to fix the AdvancedHook.dll that was provided with LCPDFR version 0.91 so it can display text properly? I really would love to play LCPDFR 0.95 on patch 1.0.4.0 because it has the best FPS and most mods I use are not compatible with 1.0.7.0. Also I am deeply sorry if I am infringing any forum rules such as not providing the Diagnostics log because I could not download it. Thank you in advance.

I can just use 0.91, if the text issue could be solved. Is it not possible to fix the text issue for 0.91 at all?

If you want to use LCPDFR, you will probably need to update to patch 1.0.7.0. Please read this: http://www.lcpdfr.co...ead-this-first/.

If you still need help, watch this:

Also, make sure you run the automatic installer and GTA IV as an administrator.

Edit: Slight reword, added another tip.

He knows about all that I would think. He isn't looking for help to patch,he wants to keep his 1.0.4.0. most likely for graphic mods like enb I would imagine and other mods.

But as said 1.0.4.0. just insn't supported by any of the LCPDFR versions as far as I know.

@orashmatash: if you have nothing to contribute to the topic (which in this case you don't), please refrain from posting. Thanks!

It would also be nice that if a solution is given, it is not repeated over an over again. If one person says it, it's usually enough.

Due to the graphic nature of this post, reader discretion is advised.

Thank you all for helping. It turns out that I updated to 1.0.7.0 and all the mods I used is compatible. I never thought 1.0.7.0 actually has good performance on highest settings. Once again thanks. P.S. LCPD: FR 0.95 is AWESOME!
