Will this PC Play GTA IV Semi-decent?

Featured Replies

I am buying a super cheap desktop online, and i am wondering if it will play GTA IV decent. I know that this PC does not meet the PC requirements, but i just don't have the cash to buy one that will play GTA IV extremely well. I just want a cheap desktop that might play it even with bad graphics so i can play LCPDFR. Here are the specs.

Intel 2.8 GHz Hyperthreading CPU

LGA775 800FSB 1MB Cache

1 GB DDR2 Ram

40 GB HDD

Windows XP with COA

(I know these specs are horrible, but this is the only thing i can afford, I know they don't meet the requirments, but will it play semi-decent and can I make it playable somehow.)

Depending on which GPU it has (you don't specify it) it might be able to run GTA IV on lowest settings.

Is this PC able to Handle GTA IV Semi-Decent

Processor 3 GHz AMD Athlon II x2 250 Storage 1000 GB HDD 7200 RPM Optical drive DVD R/W

You have to realise that GTA IV is one of the hardest CPU demanding games out there. Like Break said, you might be able to run it on lowest settings with a proper GPU. However, even if you had a monster GPU, it would be restrained by your weak CPU and you still wouldn't be able to play it at maxed settings.

And even if you could run it on lowest settings, adding mods or scripts to the game would restrain your CPU even further. That way, it won't be playable at all.

Don't buy anything you would regret would be my advice.

To give you an idea of minimum specifications here is my computer's specifications:

Intel Core2 Duo P7450 2.13GHz

3GB DDR2 Dual Channel 333MHz

Nvidia GeForce 9200M GE 529MHz 256MB

That is just able to run GTA IV on it's lowest settings.

Try ArmaA2 for a demanding CPU game.

You are using the WRONG right theme!
